China Inn Restaurant — Restaurant in Wiggins

Where to start….. The last time I was here the man and woman that own this place, I presume, were fighting as I walked in . Over what I don’t know. The parking lot leaves much to be desired. There are potholes big enough to hide a Volkswagen Bug. I was promptly seated this evening. I got honey chicken, sweet and sour chicken, fried rice, and egg drop soup. The soup was top notch. However, the rice was cold, the sweet and sour chicken was kind of tough and the honey chicken, though fresh, was barely lukewarm. Also, why is the sweet and sour sauce on the warmer??? I spilled a little down the side of the bowl which was no because biggie. But it was so hot I nearly burned my hand trying to hold on to the bowl that I wound up spilling on the table. The waitress didn’t even bother to help clesn or wipe the table down or let me have another table. I ate at a sticky table that I had to clean myself. A hidden gem in the South for Chinese food lovers 💝 💖

Yesterday I dined at this Chinese buffet and genuinely like the quality, variety of foods, and the overall experience. ♥️As a former resident in LA and NYC, this small town eatery impressed me with its authentic Chinese food choices. 🧚‍♂️I especially love the crispy spring rolls, steamed dumplings and flaky durian puff pastry. 🌸All the stir fried dishes like sweet and sour chicken and human beef cooked just right. They also keep the sushi bar well-stocked and fresh, not like they are sitting there for hours.

The overall experience is so awesome: an array of savoury food choices at a very reasonable price. I left full and happy, headed to Chill sloth Ice Cream Shop. Will come back and treat...

In the past when I’d go here, I’d say it was mediocre/average Chinese for Wiggins but with the pandemic going on, I decided to do takeout and I was very impressed with everything...everything tasted fresh, cooked perfectly and not over or undercooked, probably was better than whenever they’d be open for their buffet... they don’t skimp on portions...I must’ve caught them on a good day because I don’t agree with the negative comments below mine... my food was good at least, and trust me I’m honest and if food was terrible, I would...
