Visited this establishment on Friday 9/19/2025. Went with 2 children and 1 other adult. Place was pretty packed when we got there. Figured that was good sign. No it really wasn't. We ordered 2 appetizers. Bacon and cheddar kegs and mozzarella sticks. The Bacon/cheddar kegs were cold and the cheese was starting to congeal. The mozzarella sticks were luke warm but edible the marinara was more like tomato paste when I tried it. Got a tall drink which in my experience is double on the alcohol and as I ordered what I have been ording for 25 years it did not have the right amount of whiskey in it. Which fine whatever as this drink was the best part of the evening. For entree's we got 2 orders of whole belly clams a grilled cheese and clam strips. The food was lukewarm at best the clam strips were rubbery and my granddaughter wouldn't touch the grilled cheese. The only half decent part of the meal was the warm fries. Our waitress was nice and took the bacon/cheddar kegs off our bill as we couldn't eat them. After paying we went outside to get 2 cones of ice cream. 1 vanilla and 1 chocolate. Paid by card. waited 10 minutes(there was no one in front of us) for the very nice young lady who waited on us to tell us they were out of chocolate. Okay fine not a big deal it happens my daughter asked for a refund on the chocolate. The young lady said she couldn't do that(which is understable as it's probably above her pay grade) So, she went to ask the manager to do it. The manager sent this girl back to us and I am going to guess berated her as she was close to tears and asked if we wanted a different kind. My daughter said no I would like a refund and I would like to talk to the manager as I am not paying for something I am not receiving. This sweet young lady went to get said manager and at this point the girl was holding back the tears! NOT COOL!!! The manager seemed put out about giving us a refund for something we weren't receiving and did not even say anything to us. We waited another 10 minutes after this for this poor child to come back to us to tell us they had no vanilla ice cream. Asked for a refund as they didn't have what we wanted. The manager comes over again with attitude trying to get us to get a different flavor and my daughter said no I would like a refund and the manager said all snarky like of course you do. Do not recommend this place at all. The manager working that night should be fired for the way she treated the young lady at the ice cream window. Or take a class on how to manage people. On Sunday morning my daughter received a fraud alert from her bank because they tried to charge her for the icecream...
Read moreOn the 3rd of June, my family and I had eaten at Crazy Jake's for the first time after hearing that their food was good and their prices were reasonable. While I do agree with the fact that their prices were reasonable, their wait times were outrageous. The only reason that I am giving this restaurant a two star as opposed to one is for two simple reasons, the prices were great and our server (although I cannot remember his name) was very pleasant to us. To begin on why our experience was not so great, I'd like to state that we had ordered two appetizers and four entrees. There was no wait to be seated which made this experience promising. Things did not start to go downhill until we realized that we had been waiting 50 minutes before our APPETIZERS had arrived. It took 50 minutes for mozzarella sticks and fried calamari to come onto our table after ordering. Not to mention another 20 minutes for 3/4 of our entrees. I would like to highlight that not all of our meals came out at said time. We watched as two of the servers frantically speak to each other, more likely than not, discussing the fact that my father's entire meal had been forgotten about. This then took another 15 minutes for my father's meal to come out. In total, for his meal (the fish reuben) to come out, it took approximately an hour and a half. For a place like Krazy Jake's to not even be a fine dining restaurant, it is absolutely ridiculous that we had to wait that long. Along with this was an ABSURB amount of bugs (fruit flies) swarming around my food. While I admit, the mozzarella sticks and fish reuben were delicious, my other food- fried calamari, clam roll, BBQ burger, and Scott's classic burger was subpar to say the MOST. Additionally, following this dinner, all of our stomachs felt sick and we spent most of this day feeling nauseous from the food. Although we did not want to create a scene at the restaurant, we should have. Not once was there an apology for our wait, nor was there an apology for completely forgetting one of our meals. At one point, another server came to give us our three entrees and even turned to my father to say "did we forget something?". I genuinely don't expect this bad of an experience from anywhere, and this was completely disappointing. I would never recommend this place to anyone, nor would I come...
Read more**edit 2 years and many dinners later, but things have gone down a bit lately. Owners seem to be going through the motions or maybe trying to save money for imminent retirement? Air conditioning was broken for a while. Felt bad for the staff. Too hot to even enjoy our food which honestly wasn’t as good as it has been in the past. Our in laws used to go bi weekly and after the last few times they have been disappointed. Such a shame.
We came in yesterday 5/2 for a birthday dinner. This was one of many times we have eaten here. Upon entering we were greeted and seated. It did not take long before we ordered and received drinks. Our server, a younger guy, was cheerful and efficient. Food ordered at our table included fish n chips, prime rib, clam strips, chopped salad, and several kids meals. All came out together and tasted great. The prime rib, my dish, was done perfectly. I would definitely get that again. Everyone was happy with their food. Our server came back and took more drink orders several times. So our experience was 5 stars except the girl bringing out our food. She was miserable. Her facial expressions were that of disgust and anger. I don’t know if she is always like that or she got yelled at earlier in the day and now hates her job. I have never seen someone with that much hatred for what they are doing, to the point that her expressions were almost comical. Her impact on the mood at the table was measurable but luckily only lasted for a few minutes before our cheerful server returned to check on us. Hoping she has a...
