I'm not proud to be leaving this terrible review, I had very high hopes for this place. Even once we were seated, even though on the walk to our table we had to squeeze through between a booth and the sushi bar, about a 14-15" gap. The table we were seated at was still dirty and sticky, but the hostess wiped it down right away. Our server came over, and things were looking up, she seemed very down to earth and cool.
Drinks came, everything was good.
Water came a minute later, still good.
Miso soup came, enh wouldn't get it again. There was an uncomfortable about of seaweed in it, and the smell was gross.
Fried shrimp came, ugh shouldn't have gotten that. I could taste that the oil the fryolater was not got.
Duck sauce was light in color and flavor, maybe stretched too far with apple sauce IDK. Spicy mustard wasn't as spicy as most places.
Now the timing of everything was very good, the staff was very tentative. Even people who weren't or server checked on us in passing. Staff was in high spirits chatting and laughing amongst themselves, I do enjoy that anywhere I go.
There was 1 fried shrimp left, and out came our entrees. I got Pad Thai, I was told by the staff it was very popular, and as good as a Thai restaurants Pad Thai. This was not the case, unfortunately, the sauce seemed to be thickened with cornstarch, it was bland. The chicken and shrimp was OK, but very bland. The lime that was served with it was very freshly sliced, usually that's a sign of a good place. Hmf.
My husband got the beef with garlic sauce, pork fried rice, and an egg roll. The garlic sauce was not good, it was sweet, and not tasting of garlic in any way. The pork fried rice was OK, but just OK. The egg roll was terrible, and couldn't be finished.
Now I know this doesn't sound good, but it's not enough to give 1 star. I agree, I haven't gotten to horrible part yet. Now backtracking to when the food came out, a smell also came out. A horrible, vomit inducing smell. Like a poor little mistreated hamster in a cage that's a year dirty, and lady bits that are equally as bad.
We tried to place the smell, we were worried it was our food at first. Maybe a person, or something they were cleaning in the sushi bar. Halfway through our meals we figured it out, it's the mop they're using. My first thought was how old is that mop water. We did confirm that it is 100% the mop has though. 2 years old, is what I think I heard. The first Lady using the mop had it very wet, and walked with it dragging behind her. Later the second lady was running it around the other side of our table. This mop is clearly very old, and teaming with bacteria.
I wanted to leave the rest of our food there, but my husband insisted we take it with us. It immediately went into the trash.
I ate both fortune cookies, they were fresh. We treated our server very nicely, as we should. I wish the...
Read moreI've never eaten food from this restaurant but I had last night for New Year's Eve my father saves every year
on a fixed income he always likes to have food at this restaurant for New Year's Eve the food was the most disgusting food I have ever eaten the crab ragoons were so small and shriveled I could not believe what I was looking at the food was bland there was no flavor in anything the bill was a $132 for the amount of food that we got or the lack there of it was not worth the money I feel bad for my father because I could see the disappointment in his eyes. It's the one thing he looks forward to having us over for New Years Eve He called the order in for 6 o'clock we got there at 5:30 the order was already out the order and everything in it was cold Now I understand it's New Year's Eve a lot of orders are placed for pick up But to have your whole order cold is just unacceptable like I said for somebody on a fixed income to save this amount of money and to be charged that amount of money for the food that he received is atrocious The chicken fingers there Barely had any chicken in side it was nothing but breading I'm sure nothing will be done about it I just think it's bad to charge that amount of money for that amount of lousy food that's...
Read more2 Stars because of my experience. I used to get "plain lo mein" noodles all the time here. Just the noodles, heated. They were delicious! I'd eat them at least once a week from here. ONE DAY, they started putting sauce that was FILLED with minced GARLIC (BLEH) all over my noodles!!! I gave them 4 more chances to fix it, each time saying, "No garlic, no sauce" BUT EVERY TIME, THE NOODLES WERE COVERED IN GARLIC. I TOOK MY ORDER BACK 3 TIMES ONE DAY, EVENTUALLY ASKED FOR A REFUND. It's like they are freaking brain dead and don't understand what "No garlic" means. The most frustrating thing is that I used to get plain noodles all the time there, but suddenly they just didn't understand how to NOT put...
