I do not like giving negative comments for no cause; I only give comments on my experiences at any given place. With that out of the way. All day on the road, seeing the familiar yellow sign brought hope for a late-night meal. Entering the restaurant, all the tables were occupied, and so was the counter area. We waited just a few minutes before a table opened up, but the carefree waitress didn't even attempt to clean the table. Our party waited patiently for 5 or 6 minutes, and the waitress still never attempted to clean the open table. By this time, the line waiting to be seated had grown to 2 or 3 parties behind us. So, a couple of people from our group cleaned the open table and seated ourselves. The dirty dishes and silverware that were removed from our table were placed on the counter area where there were stacked dirty dishes from previous customers sitting at the counter. We were finally waited on, and the key word is 'waited.' We were a party of 4; the drinks were correct, but only 2 of the food orders were correct. The other 2 were missing items. I will only be discussing my meal and not the others. I ordered the Texas Bacon Cheesesteak Melt and hash browns smothered, covered, chunked, diced, peppered, capped, and topped. When my food arrived at the table, the sandwich looked correct, but the hash browns were plain. Before we could mention anything, the waitress was gone, and we didn't see her again until we were paying out the tab to leave. Now, back to my food. The sandwich I ordered was correct, but I honestly believe it was made with beef jerky, because a lot of the sandwich was crunchy and didn't resemble any Cheesesteak melts I have had before. The bright side of the night came through when other customers sitting across the restaurant jumped into action and cleared a table, placing the dirty dishes next to the ever-growing pile of dirty dishes from our table and the customers' dirty dishes that were left on the counter from earlier customers. The restaurant did not appear to be understaffed; there were 3 waitresses and one person cooking. I'm not sure if the poor service came from a long, hard evening, untrained new staff, or undertrained staff, but this Waffle House, on this visit, earned a lot of the typical stereotypes that people make fun of about...
Read moreI’ve personally never felt so embarrassed for other people. Between the constant dirty tables. The staff was rude and loud and very unkept and not clean. The women who took our order was more worried about listening to drama going on in her co workers life. I had to repeat myself many times. There was a boy mopping at 12:30pm while MANY tables sat dirty and people were lined up waiting to sit. Some tables that were dirty when we walked in were still the same way when we left. Shutting down half the dining room while people are waiting to sit is ridiculous and the women in there screaming constantly was so unprofessional I’m guessing she was the manager. I’ve never heard a waitress/manager come up to a customer and complain that they sat down then say ‘I guess I’ll take your order’ I was horrified. That young blonde girl looked terrified and on the brink of tears. I apologized to her for how her co workers are. Not all places are that toxic, definitely quit Mika. no one should stand around and scream orders across a restaurant, especially a manager, while she does nothing and is complaining about being there since 5am. Then leave. You’re unprofessional. I will never go back to this Waffle House. I have actually been super sick since I left there. Also chocolate chip waffles are normally meant to be cooked with the chocolate chips in the batter, not throw semi sweet chocolate chips on top as an after thought. We should have walked out as soon as...
Read moreThe worst service I have ever experienced. I ordered a Texas bacon cheese steak and hashbrowns. I made sure to ask for NO onions on anything. When my meal came to the table everything had onions. I only noticed them on the hashbrowns at first and asked to have them remade. The cook/manager argued with the waitress to even make them. My husband and I both over heard the conversation since it's not big in any waffle house. I told the waitress my sandwich also had onions. When she told him about this he said well I cant do that. So we asked to speak to him since he was the manager. He looked right at us and denied that he said that to her. I left with out eating because at this point I was so upset. My food was never offered to be remade except the hashbrowns. I have never once complained about service or my food. I felt like a fool, I let my family eat and left. I will never return if TJ ( the cook/manger ) is working. The only halfway apology I received was he has been working 12 hours. They took it off my bill but I feel like it could have been handled 20...
