Great intimate local steakhouse. Service was on point, food was right there too and the ambiance was nothing short of intimate and cozy. All the dishes we tried were well prepared and you could tell the kitchen and wait staff were well timed. However the is one thing I desperately need to throw the warning flag on... The Brussel spot side dish. Oh my good golly gosh look out for this thing. Gordy's you have ruined Brussel sprouts for me! Deep fried but not greasy, balsamic was pungent but not overwhelming, bacon was big and bold and just as crispy. Whoever put this little gem together needs a sturdy well done handshake. I honestly will be thinking about these sprouts for days and I didn't even get to eat most of them. When you dine here do yourself and your taste buds a flavor sorry I mean favor and get your hands on these. They would pair well with everything I saw on tonight's menu and to be brutally honest I am kinda disappointed I picked the potatoes, not knocking the spuds but they just can't possibly tick all the boxes of flavor like the sprouts. Well done Gordy's staff tonight it was very much well worth the drive. Will definitely be recommending this spot for date nights or even...

I had never heard of this place before, but it's so good. Wife and I were meeting some family there and went early to grab a drink. Ended up meeting a couple of regulars and chatted with them for awhile. Bar tender(s) were friendly and joking with them and with us. Owners were involved and working the floor and back in the kitchen so you know they have a direct hand and can see things going on first hand.

Overall the atmosphere was great, and what I expect from a steakhouse. It was a little dark and could stand to be a touch brighter (reading the menus etc...) and honestly, my only complaint was that it was really warm in there. Overly warm at least on this occasion. It was Feb. 2nd, and I'm glad I wore a short sleeved shirt under my jacket.

The filet mignon was one of the best tasting I've ever had. We were at Porterhouse a few weeks prior in Little Canada, and this place was better.

That said, my sister-in-law ordered the same cut of meat and hers was a little overcooked for her liking. Mine (at medium) was perfect. Super tender.

I'd definitely would like to come back again some day for a...

Steak and seafood, with prices to match (average about $25 per plate, plus drinks).

Everything is good. Atmosphere is classy without being snobbish (sit by the fireplace some winter night). Every time I've been, it's been that kind of busy-not busy where there are plenty of people but it doesn't feel crowded, and you won't have any trouble having a conversation.

It's kid-friendly if your kids are well-behaved and like expensive steak (and there's always a couple of kids in here when I've gone), but I've always left my little ones at home; it's definitely more upscale than a Mr. Steak.

Food tastes great, and steaks are properly cooked to order. Seafood has always good, and there's something satisfying about a surf + turf combo. Beer selection isn't remarkable (10 beers on tap, nothing you wouldn't find elsewhere), but it's good enough, and you're here for the steaks, anyhow.

Crab cakes are good, and huge. They come two to an order...

Welcome to Gordys in the quaint town or Wilnernie! As you walk-in you are greeted by a friendly hostess in a dimly lit romantic atmosphere. We did not have reservations, they were able to seat us, however I would recommend you do because the restaurant was full even the bar seating; I consider us lucky to get in. The menu had a nice variety of options for drinks and appetizers and the main courses is mainly steak, it is a steakhouse but they do have other options. We ordered a filet and a tenderloin, both cooked perfectly and they came with unlimited warm bread, salads and a side dish option which was nice that it was not al a cart like most steakhouses. Dessert I had to miss out on as I was too full but they sounded delicious. Our server was very attentive and did highlight on our receipt that they charge almost a 4% fee to use a credit card!!! Besides the ridiculous credit card fee everything was great.

My wife and I had not been to Gordys in years. It is still remindful of a "throwback" to earlier steakhouses. I was looking for the Seeburg jukebox in the corner somewhere ;-) We were seated immediately and enjoyed an excellent glass of wine. I ordered a steak & fries, and my wife had the chicken marsala, a favorite of hers. The fries came out hot and crispy just the way I like them. The steak was done perfectly and was super tender. My wife's chicken marsala was just excellent. She loved it. The wait staff was attentive and cheerful. My only complaint is that the "retro" lighting in the place is quite dark! It's really hard to see with the lights so low. It provides a certain ambiance to dinner, but a little more light would be good for my old eyes. Other than that minor annoyance, we loved Gordys and will be back much sooner.

My partner and I ordered a few drinks and two filet mignon cuts plus some sides. Shrimp was fine, potatoes and drinks were great, but the steak was blue when we ordered medium rare and the asparagus was raw after a 30+ minute length wait. I mentioned the asparagus to the server and they said "I'm sorry" and that was the end of the conversation. I didn't mention the fact that my $50+ steak was cold and blue, if I'm paying the amount of money I except a server that handles their clients. Especially on a Wednesday night after rush hour with 5 occupied tables in the restaurant. This is an embarrassment for a $200 tab. Find a restaurant that actually cares about their patrons and their experience.
