The best of the best … we love every single thing about this place …. The staff are so extremely nice and they don’t hesitate to keep you drink filled , your dirty plates taken up .The food is delicious. All the staff join and pull together to make sure everything runs smoothly. The people in the kitchen do an exceptional job at cooking everything. I have not seen one thing on that buffet bar over cooked under cooked to cold or dried out . They are very attentive to their food . Very nice staff and I definitely recommend this place it’s a 10/ outta 10. That peach cobbler though is exceptional, it’s perfectly cooked every single time . Their cakes are moist and delicious.. The place is immaculately cleaned… throughout. Parking lot the entire place . They have single plates , Chicken salad etc on the menu I was told today… so there’s a lot to choose from even if you don’t want buffet . Go see them … you’ll be glad you’d did … and the prices are right too. Love this new found gem. It’s definitely worth the drive . The young Lady that works there that was our waitress today , helped me get on their fb page , helped me find the review page , her and her sister and their Momma and Daddy work there. She even since me a friend request … the sweetest souls you’ll ever meet . Great Christian family . People like that make you keep...

We stopped here for lunch and the service was absolutely the best you'll find almost anywhere. Everyone working in the dining room was smiling, helpful and friendly. We were seated promptly upon entering and our server appeared for our drink order as soon as we sat down. She was back with glasses of iced tea quickly and ready to take our order. We don't normally eat from a buffet but because the majority of the people there seemed to be utilizing it we asked if we could look at the buffet before ordering. So many places the buffet tables don't appear sanitary but this one was extremely well maintained. Even with so many people fixing plates we didn't see a spot on any surface nor find any food in a server-pan that didn't belong in it. That being said we got the buffet and we understood why it was such a favorite. Everything on our plates was delicious and perfectly seasoned. The mac-n-cheese was made with just the right amount of extra sharp cheddar to set it apart. The hush puppies were so light and fluffy it reminded us of a cloud. I’d been coming to the Hitch-N Post for the past 15 years when I visit Williamston and I’ve always been impressed with the quality of the food, whether it’s the buffet or menu items. In recent years we’ve enjoyed their Thanksgiving dinners, which have been delicious and abundant. I feel drawn to write this first review because the food today was exceptional, even better than my last visit, which, admittedly, has been three years. The flavor of the food has climbed a notch. The collards and cabbage were very flavorful. The fried chicken was crisp as always, but tasted so fresh and moist. The overall look of the buffet seems to have been upgraded along with the preparation. If I lived closer, I would be eating here all the time. This is a restaurant I would proudly recommend or bring friends to great for Southern comfort food. I don’t know what has changed but the change has resulted in an improvement.
