My husband of 44 years and I were looking forward to our first thanksgiving dinner at a restaurant that was recommended by my Aunt and uncle,it was a place for them to have a relaxing meal , my Aunt and uncle used to rave about your food especially the turkey dinner, and when you had buffets it was delicious but now I would advise anyone from going for a meal there unless they like cold instant mash potatoes, and cold stuffing, the turkey looked and taste like a cheap sliced deli meat with gravy, green beans dried and over-cooked, the only thing good about our whole meal was the jellied cranberry sauce and our waitress, Tammy, she tried to have our dishes reheated,by the kitchen staff, only to find out the food was still cold when she brought it back from the kitchen, only to realize it was still cold and in another booth the people in it heard us telling our waitress the food is cold and she had to bring back the plates a second time because the food was cold again, which was one of the complaints our neighbors had complained about. It seem like the food was never reheated despite our waitress Tammy trying to get our meal to be hot and tasty. When inquiring about what kind of thankgiving pie came with the complete thanksgiving dinner found out it would cost 5 dollars for a slice of pie. The pie was not included in the dinner package. it was an insult charging extra for a slice of thanksgiving pie, at least given to us a slice of pie as an apology for a cold meal. The restaurant is called country pride, it should be refer to country lack of pride. We would have had a better meal with swanon from forzen...
Read moreWe realized when we (4) walked in and sat down Sunday (4-24-22) they were understaffed. Debbie spoke right up and told us welcome and to sit where we would like. We found a table and made our self comfortable. As she passed with another table's order, she told us she was alone and if we wanted coffee, yes of course. Cups and extra pot was in short order. Others entered and when she could welcomed them and told them too she was alone. In a reasonable time she was taking our order and off again. Taking and delivering orders. The food was out in short order hot and as requested. We want to thank Debbie for her honestly. Letting us aware of her challenge to cover 30 plus table's so we never wondered if we were just another dollar. She took time to check twice on all of our orders. Over easy, scrambled well, toast or English. Debbie is an awesome waitress. An awesome representation of your Country Pride and deserves recognition of appreciation. Well done isn't enough. Leaving her over 20 % tip was easy. Thank you again Debbie for your passion...
Read moreMy husband and I have eaten here before and it's always been good. Until today. Let's start with the food. I had the traditional breakfast and the only good thing was the eggs. The English muffin was burnt, the bacon was not crispy at all and the slop that was supposed to be grits was disgusting. If the cook doesn't know how to cook something, don't offer it.
My husband had the chicken fried steak and scrambled eggs. His food was barely warm.
And now let's get to the service. We both had coffee and had to keep asking for refills. And the last time my husband asked, she went into the back came out and went to another table and got their money and filled up their drinks. And she still didn't come out with the coffee. And we had to ask again. She had 4 people at the bar and 4 tables. I can understand when you are busy but this was ridiculous. If she can't take care of her customers, you need to get her some help or find someone that can.
If we ever walk back in and she is the server, we will walk...
