We were greeted with warm and friendly service that instantly makes you feel at home. Alexis P was our waitress tonight and she was quick and super friendly. The atmosphere is cozy. The walls lined with vintage signs. The dining area is inviting, perfect for a night out with friends or a casual family dinner.
Now let's talk about the pizza - Grade A ! The crust is thick leading to a crispy edge with just the right amount of chewiness. Another couple got there 10 mins after we got there. They got their food, eat and left before we got ours. One waitress – took her 20 mins to bring us menus and get our drink orders. We watched her talk to other patrons for 10-15 mins before she got to us. She delivered the drinks promptly – we needed more time to decide. It took her 25 mins to get back because she was conversing with the guy at the bar and other booth patrons. The food took at least ½ hour after that. I mentioned the timing and we received no condolences. Stupid. Stopped by multiple times to see how we were doing and give us doggie boxes – interrupting my meal which was ½ done. My wife ordered a small pesto pizza which was horrible and she NEVER complains. I had the Shepherd’s pie which was ok – hard to mess that up. We’ve eaten here and at Willington many times. If this were my first visit – it would have been my last. It was so bad, I would have went out of my way to mention...
Read moreMy Fiance and I were heading home to Maine from NJ after a weeks long vacation in California when we found ourselves in desperate need of a restroom break after a two day game of planes, trains and automobiles. We took the Willington exit and just happened to find this little diamond in the rough camouflaged in a strip mall. After being politely greeted at the door we proceeded to use the facilities. Afterward, I tried to leave a $5 tip as we were not paying customers and didn't order food but were so grateful. Not only did these wonderfully nice people refuse to take the money they insisted it was no problem whatsoever. Most places nowadays don't even offer restrooms to people who are not paying customers, let alone wonderfully sanitary ones! After a few back and fourths I gave in and took the money back, My only regret is that we didn't have enough time to eat so I could write a rave food review because there is no doubt the eats, like the people is fantastic. Thanks again to all the staff at Pizza Too, truly a breath of fresh Air! Next time we pass through Willington CT we will absolutely make it a point to have...
