The husband , 2 kids and I came today 2/18 Sunday. It had been a few years since we’ve been and remembered it being really good. It was very slow. First my husband ordered a double margarita and it was a single. Ordered a second one and it was just koolaid. So terribly sweet would’ve given you a headache. My husband ordered the picture. The two meat and two sides. We waited 30 minutes for our food. The two chicken tenders, day old mashed potatoes and one piece of sausage was 25 bucks and was ice cold. I ordered the Cajun shrimp platter and the shrimp was so tough it was as if it had been cooked the day before. Our bill for two mixed drinks, two sodas, a water and pretty terrible food was $106. And unfortunately the waitress wasn’t great. She didn’t come back to get plates for a long time and had to get up and ask for the check. I get that if you’re having a bad day, yeah it sucks. But the place was empty. Took the bartender 10 min to make one shot of us. We tip our waitress but the overall experience was disappointing for what we paid and the service experienced. Not sure what happened in the last few years but management and staff need to do better. Y’all would get a lot more business if the quality and cook of food was better and better service. We might try back in a few years if it’s even...

Read moreThe only logical way Dave could be "famous" is for parading this meat as BBQ. There are two things I hate, liars and Famous Dave's Texas Beef Brisket, which is a brisket that Dave is lying to us about when he puts the word Texas in front of it.
I've got my opinions on the pork and chicken, but I'll leave that to y'all. But, I do know Texas BBQ, more specifically, Texas Brisket. A Texas Brisket is slow smoked over wood, preferably Mesquite, and no, a pellet smoker doesn't count. A true smoked brisket has a deep red smoke line that someone fought for hours to achieve. What I was served today seems to be a boiled or crockpot cooked brisket. It was in no stretch of the imagination, smoked, or "Texas Brisket."
I don't know if Mr. Dave is still alive, but I can tell you he would be laughed out of Texas trying to peddle that inferior meat in Texas. I was duped, I paid $28 for a plate of lies. Lesson...
