Green Mill Restaurant & Bar — Restaurant in Willmar

I made reservations for my coworkers and I to celebrate my birthday a day early and enjoy dinner and drinks on Friday, January 31st. I made the reservations 2 days prior to this. When we arrived, Green Mill was busy but I felt relief knowing I had made a reservation... well, when I approached one of the hostesses and informed them of my reservation, she looked away and whispered under her breath to another hostess, “Do you have any idea why this is crossed out?” and pointed at my reservation listing. Instead of coming to me after and informing me of a mixup, she walked away. A couple other hostesses came and helped other customers. We sat and waited for about 10 minutes. Eventually the hostess informed me she would clear a table for us. Waiting 10 minutes is not why I was upset. I was frustrated and upset with the way the hostess handled the mixup by not bringing it to my attention and apologizing. They just went about and continued with other customers. Next time, if I may suggest, inform the customer if there is a mixup instead of avoiding it because as the customer I felt unimportant/overlooked. Mistakes happen, I get it, but apologize at the least. Other than this one time, every other time has been great; great food, great waitresses,...

To clarify, I have not actually been inside; rather, I have ordered online and had delivery. So my experience with Green Mill is limited. The website seemed... off. I don't know how to explain it, but the ordering process just wasn't as smooth as other places and getting to the actual "order online" option was way more difficult than it needed to be. We ordered hot wings, cheesy bread, and a pizza. Portion sizes were large, the wings were meaty, the sauce for the wings was generous. The garlic cheese bread I loved because there was a large amount of garlic on them. My wife did not like them because there was too much garlic for her. Keep this in mind if you plan on ordering the garlic cheese bread. The pizza was huge and very tasty. I wouldn't say it was the best pizza I have ever had, but having recently moved here from California it has been hard to find a decent pizza place.

I definitely recommend Green Mill for the food alone. Hopefully I will make it into the restaurant sometime in the near future and can update my review about what it is like to...

Our waitress acted like a child. So, a child at our table ordered her smoothie, when everyone else got their drinks, the child asked where her smoothie was, when the waitress came back to order our food. It might have sounded a bit rude, however the waitress ran off immediately, even though a normal adult would've said something along the lines of "Alright, It'll be out in a minute." But no, she ran off with no words. To make the smoothie. Next, after we ordered we had a problem with the bill, the child ordered from the kids menu with more discounts than the adults. But the waitress just rang it up on the bill as a adult's, and she said in her own words, "But I thought that the adult was ordering two meals." and stuff, so we had to ask another manager or waitress that didn't feel like she owned the whole building, saying she was just a bar manager.
