I want to begin by saying I do not like sushi—or rather, I thought I didn’t. Walking into this restaurant, uncertain and hesitant, did not feel dissimilar to a breath of fresh air straight from paradise or a weary man's moment of respite. The atmosphere was captivating, a feast for the senses. I was seated by the lovely staff and a menu was provided. Since I had never fancied myself a sushi-eater, I was at a loss. It seems my state of disarray was written plainly on my face. Upon seeing this, my waiter spared no time and immediately flipped through the menu, pointing at a dish. I had no choice but to place my faith in both restaurant and my waiter; it was no longer in my hands.
The food arrived with impeccable timing, making me question whether a team of the world's finest chefs made my food or they had anticipated my order and had it premade, waiting for me. It seemed impossible that such artistry could come at such a humble cost. The presentation itself was a sight for sore eyes. With the first bite, my world turned upside down. It truly was a moment frozen in time. Before I knew it, the plate was wiped clean yet, I had savored every morsel. The aftertaste alone almost forced my hand in ordering another dish. I think back to the moment my waiter presented me with, though at the time I was none the wiser, the perfect dish for me. I recalled the price tag of my dish; unbelievably reasonable for the taste of grandeur I was given. I was in sheer disbelief that something I had previously scorned could ever make me want to devour a second serving. This restaurant's sushi has become my vice.
The service was just as impeccable as the food itself. The staff, as attentive as humanly possible, seemed to anticipate any questions or needs I had before I even realized them. Their knowledge of the menu was quite profound, allowing them to effortlessly guide me through the unfamiliar world of sushi. I felt like a welcomed guest, not a stranger to this world, let alone this restaurant. Now that I have tasted this, my palate will reject sushi of any other kind. Going forward, I will only be eating sushi from this establishment, and I implore you...
Read moreThe worst thing about Sakura sushi house is that they charge big prices for subpar sushi thinking they can gouge customers big city prices for a mediocre business & subpar sushi. due The sushi house in the only one in Willows but that does not mean they have to charge & gouge customers. The sushi house with any eatery needs a good crew with good customer service which Sakura Sushi house does not incorporate or ever possess The Sakura sushi house offers subpar sushi with big city prices & they operate in a small city plus a rude crew wanting to charge $12.95 just deep fry my 5 California roll order a total of $70+ for regular customer but since they could not handle a favor I do not recommend this Sushi house at all & sucks i have to give a 1 star rating High priced sushi rude owners and crew will tank this business. The Sakura owners do not believe in loyalty or the chore values of basic customer service to repeat customers or any at all wanting to charge more just to deep fry my already 5 California roll order not have the chore values on how to treat your returning customers & treat them like dirt. I Give Sakura sushi house Two huge thumbs way down & 1 star & that is too much for the Sakura Sushi House due to the owner do not respect returning loyal customers is disgusting like their business practices towards repeat customers. The owners absolutely did nothing to make the issue better but rather would have a customer walk away regretting ever being a loyal customer showing support. The owners are trash just like their customer service of this repeat customer doing the right thing for one time would not have killed the owners I was just wanting to test if they would do the right thing and they failed horribly. My business did not matter & I know I am not the only one or I may be the only one to be treated like garbage just to see if I liked it and if I did I would buy the deepfried California rolls but with the emmense disrespectful attitude we will never know unless they have a turn of dicision I would still be a customer but be sure I will spread this treatment all over social media & hope this place this place goes...
Read moreFood and service are not only good, but very delightful. A little gem of a sushi place; highly recommend a visit. It seemed warmer on my second visit than the first. Didn't notice sticky floors this time, which is great. I will be coming back.
Rest of original review: Ambiance left a little to be desired. I liked the decor, but I noticed that the floors were sticky which is always a bit gross, and where I was seated was incredibly cold. These two things definitely made it harder to focus on the positive aspects of the ambiance. Would recommend bringing along a parka and thermal underwear in the winter.
If you could warm this place up in winter, I don't think it'd be bad at all.
Overall, I would say it's a good place for a quick bite. It felt like the sushi bar area was warmer than where I was seated. I hope they succeed, because I enjoy the occasional sushi lunch, and it's good to have...
