Something has changed and not for the better. The quality of many of the food items has dropped way off. The wait staff and cooks are still great but the food itself has changed. The sausage links and patties are smaller and have filler - they used to be meatier and more flavorful. Our beloved crinkle-cut fries have been replaced with thin, battered, nonsensical potato sticks. The bacon is no longer the thick cut mostly meat kind with flavor. Now it is super thin mostly fat strips of tastelessness. I used to visit several times a week for breakfast or lunch, now, not so much. Better quality food up the street at one of the chain breakfast places. We notice these things when you cut corners on a lot of stuff. It makes a huge difference when the quality of the food suffers for it. If the cooks and wait staff weren't some of the best and hard-working in the diner business, this review would be one star or less.
Update 11-10-19 Crinkle cut fries are back! Thank you! Other food items have also found better versions. AND they are now Open Sundays after 7am. Nice to have this place open 7 days, now. Keep...
Read moreGood food, terrible service. I work in the food industry and serve people for a living and have never left a bad review, even if it was deserved, until today. I came in with my 3 year old who has epilepsy and ended up getting sick while we were at the restaurant. She got really upset for a minute (if that), I took her to the bathroom, and then she fell asleep the remainder of the stay not even making a peep. While checking out our waitress, Melissa, complained about my daughter and I to another customer. One of the comments being "it's all about how you raise them" as if any parent can control when their child is sick. I am baffled at the audacity this woman had to comment on how I am raising my child as if she has any idea of what is going on. People love to stare and make comments in public but to have a waitress say something to a customer about another customer is completely unprofessional. I hope no one else brings their family to this establishment and is subject to...
Read moreThe really pretty blonde waitress maybe in her late 30s with really pretty nails, and beautiful smile not sure what her name is but she was so sweet I felt like I was treated like family the moment I sat down, southern hospitality would be an understatement, she made me feel so comfortable and welcomed and made sure to ask all the small details about my order to ensure it came out correctly. And it did, unfortunately I ate it so fast I forgot to take a picture but I had biscuits and gravy and sausage links on the side and it was delicious to say the least. And the coffee was fresh and perfect strength for my liking. I definitely will be back. This is the best breakfast house in town especially because of the waitress I had, she was the absolute sweetest and upbeat person and you can tell she really just loves people. I'll be back...
