My family and I have been coming to Broomtail for a little over two years now. We love the different varieties of craft beer that Barry and the crew make. The atmosphere and of course the people that you meet is wonderful. You become a part of the Broomtail family. There are also local food trucks that have amazing food to go along with the yummy craft beer. Broomtail also has a 2nd location called The Sour Barn. The Sour Barn has some of the craft beer that is served at Broomtail but there is also some great sour beers as well. If you like sour beer that is the place to go too. The atmosphere is amazing, especially the outdoor sitting area with the hand crafted wood tables, and intricate wood work with the octopus. The staff at both Broomtail and the Sour Barn are great people and they remember your name and the beer you like to drink each time you come in. It's like going to Cheers where everybody knows your name. It doesn't get any...
Read moreWhat a great experience! Lisa and Barry, the owners, were so welcoming; my mother and I immediately felt right at home. We chatted with Lisa the whole time we were there, Barry even came out and said hello when he could take a break from brewer duties. Some of the locals popped in and all were so friendly, engaging with us as though we were part of the community right away. Besides the incredible hospitality, the beers were delicious! We sampled 3 of their IPAs, the Acerbic Ecstasy was our fav, as well as their habanero saison & both stouts. The Complex Stout is exactly as dubbed, complex! But delicious and worth a try for sure. We came, and would return, for the beer for sure but the atmosphere was the real winner here. A must try if you’re passing...
Read moreSome of the friendliest people and hands down the very best beers you can find in Wilmington! Barry, the head brewer, is a perfectionist and it really shows in the quality, taste and variety of the ales that they put out. A small but very popular local hangout. As they have a focus on distribution, they are only open Thursday through Sunday (as of this writing) but you can find their beers at other places around town. They periodically have food via food trucks, cookouts and music but the focus is on the beer. Crowd is a real laid-back mix of locals, out of towners, professionals, blue collar, retirees, students and bikers of the motorized and...
