We are incredibly lucky to have this gem of a bakery right here in town. I’ve been coming here since they opened, and it’s about time I share how truly special this place is. Their skills are top-notch, and it shows in every loaf, pastry, and bite.
The bread? Absolutely amazing. It’s the kind of bread that makes you slow down and appreciate craftsmanship—crusty, flavorful, and baked to perfection. This bakery is everything you’d want in a Vermont bakery: rustic, thoughtful, and full of heart.
And then there’s Dawn, the warm, friendly face behind the counter who makes every visit feel personal. She’s one of those people who instantly puts you at ease, always greeting you with a smile and a kind word. Walking in and seeing Dawn is as much a part of the experience as the incredible bread.
I’ve attached a photo to give you a glimpse of the beauty they create, shot with proper lighting to do justice to their craftsmanship. Trust me, the bread tastes even better than it looks.
If you haven’t been, do yourself a favor and stop by. This bakery is a true treasure, and I’m so grateful it’s part of...

Sadly this is the third time I’ve gone to the bakery and left with nothing the several times I did leave with items were amazing but when they’re not sold out, they’re open and not selling baked goods very confusing...
Read moreWe pass through town on our way to Mount Snow and, admittedly, have always stopped at a bakery closer to the mountain—until last week, when our usual spot was randomly closed. Restless and in desperate need of a sweet treat on the way home, we decided to check out Starfire Bakery. Holy smokes! Even though they had sold out of a lot by the time we arrived, we still managed to snag some cookies, croissants, and maple milk.
We came back today, and this time, it solidified that this is our new go-to bakery stop. The variety, the craftsmanship, and the quality—everything is so well done, handled with care, and set against a charming, rustic backdrop. The whole experience is friendly and welcoming, but most importantly… they have the goods.
Thank you,...
