Big Mama's Pizzeria — Restaurant in Winchester

Ordered a special with them that included an 18" pizza and 20 wings through DoorDash and the restaurant failed to give the wings to the delivery driver. I called them the same night and was put on hold until the hour changed and they hung up on me. It was incredibly rude and they could have just told me to call back about it in the morning. I called back today and spoke with a man who was unapologetic and also rude. He blamed everything on DoorDash and said it was out of their hands. I have been frequenting this restaurant for the past 3 years in person and online and was hoping they would try to work with me to make sure I got the items I ordered. When I went through DoorDash the refund I was given was not sufficient to order another 20 piece wings. I know the restaurant still had the wings I ordered the night before and the rude girl on the phone probably took them home. All I wanted was to see if they could work with me if I ordered something else with them and they provide me with what I already paid for. Extremely upsetting experience as I have recommended this place so many times. The food is good here and all but the fact that you made my order entirely wrong last night and I called you about it and was completely understanding and you told me to call the next day but then I have to pay a whole another $30 for something that you made wrong to get delivered to my house is very unfair for me. And then you proceeded to tell me that you’re only gonna take two dollars off of my order because the two dollars was for the flat when I specifically asked for no legs at all Also, I was throwing the party I feel as though it is not right for me to have to pay a whole Nother 30 35 $ for something that you made wrong that should be made for free and delivered because you made it wrong on top of that. There was no sauce on the wings and I asked for extra sauce I asked for all flats and that was an an Paid a whole $30 just for something to be wrong and can’t get it made again the way I asked for is completely absurd! $33 and some change to be exact...

I had a flyer under my door at the hotel I was staying at for this location and went ahead and placed an order without looking at the reviews. I’m honestly not sure why they have such low reviews.

They told me 45 and gave me a call at about the hour mark, which really wasn’t much of a delay. The man who called came all the way to my hotel room to deliver and was kind. The person I spoke with at the restaurant itself was nice too.

When the food arrived it was all still hot and tasted good. The calzone was really enjoyable and the chicken wings were your basic bar wings. I got a regular calzone and 10 chicken wings for $30 including delivery so I thought that was pretty reasonable. They gave me sauce, a huge handful of napkins and silverware without me needing to ask for any of it as well.
