Camino Real Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Winchester

Absolutely horrible!! We reserved the back for a party. Arrived and the host had no clue what we were talking about. Time of party, took 20 minutes just for someone to come ask for our drink order and we had to ask for menus. Another 15 minutes for us to actually get drinks. We then all ordered food. It took nearly an hour for us to have our food even start getting our food orders - we had our food orders coming out in 3 separate times, with my son’s cheese quesadilla coming out last even though it is legit the easiest thing in the world to make. I got the shredded chicken taco salad. My daughter got a hot dog and fries. My husband got three tacos and two tamales. Mine and my husband’s orders came out before the kids’ orders. Hell, tables outside of the room our party reserved were getting there well after us but having super quick service. I understand we had a large party, but they had us have one single server and we didn’t have refills of our drinks in the 2.5 hrs we sat there waiting for all of our meals to arrive. And the fact we were still expected to pay the entire bill plus the gratuity that was automatically put on due to us being a large party was wrong of the business. This isn’t the first time we have had issues with this location either. If it weren’t for it being a friend’s 30th birthday, we most definitely would NOT have shown up to this restaurant. There are far better places for Hispanic cuisine within driving distance of this place & those are actually worth going to and spending your hard earned money at....

I need the owner of this establishment to contact me. My family had guests from out of state for a special occasion and went out to eat at this restaurant for celebration. One meal came out wrong, sent back and then came back out wrong. Then the other plate to that meal was cold. Another person ordered two regular tacos and didn’t receive the order until 30-40 minutes after others had. One meal arrived and was asked to be reheated and when the meal came back all of the vegetables were disengaged. All while not receiving any refills. When explaining to the waitress, she would roll her eyes, not respond and then walk away. When we asked for the manager, he literally told us that it wasn’t his problem that they were busy, shrugged his shoulders, threw up his hands and walked away. My husband then went to the front to explain to the manager that we had family from out of town, all meals arrived a different times, etc. But the manager once again shrugged it off, threw his hands up in my husband’s face and walked away again. My husband just went to pay for our portion of the meal so that we could leave. We have never, ever experienced this kind of treatment from any restaurant or customer service business. It was truly appalling...

12/26/2024: This afternoon I enjoyed Chicken Acapulco Delight & the fried ice cream. Friendly & fast service. Their fried ice cream is the best of any local competitors. 10/24/2024: Enjoyed Puerto Vallarta grilled shrimp & chicken breast with vegetables. The fried ice cream has lots of raisins, shredded coconut, and delicious strawberry flavored syrup on vanilla ice cream coated with crispy corn flakes - excellent! 2/13/2024: Lunch was Acapulco Delight, with grilled chicken, a small serving of rice & loaded with lots of vegetables, including broccoli, carrots, zucchini, yellow squash, & onions. It is now my favorite menu choice! There was enough to take 1/2 home for another meal. 1/31/2024: My meal of Hawaiian Fajitas with chicken was excellent. The service was fast and friendly. 8/1/2023: Enjoyed the Nachos Chile Colorado with chicken today, delicious! 😋 7,/21/2023: Ordered Nachos Chile Colorado, with ground beef: cheesy and so full of flavor. Fried ice cream was great again with delicious sauces and flavorful vanilla ice cream!! First time here in years: June 2. 2023::I ordered the Number 4 of Camino's Classics, with chicken.
