Mama D's Bakery and Cafe — Restaurant in Windsor Township

I stopped in this morning for a little breakfast and a coffee. I wanted to love it however, it had a lot of issues. I went to order a Parmesan bagel (special advertised on facebook) and they had already sold out of everything but plain bagels in the first hour… i waited probably 20 minutes in line just to order with3 parties ahead of me. One girl was trying to make food, checkout, etc. she looked so stressed while the owner sat in a chair and drank a cup of coffee. I waited probably another 15 minutes for my food. when I did get my coffee it was overpriced and tasted odd. The bagel was really not great. Quite a few people looked frustrated with how long the service was taking. I understand every business has its abnormal days. I will absolutely give it another chance in the future but I don’t like to see owners watching workers struggle and if breakfast and coffee are going to be offered, people need to be able to...

Our first time there under the new management. Staff was very friendly and professional. Went there to specifically purchase only ONE pumpkin roll, and ended up buying two........PLUS more delectable desserts! Kinda couldn't help it! Everything looked soooo incredibly yummy! While there, I noticed that the friendly clerk was wearing a Mama D's tee shirt, which I inquired about their sale availability, and to which she replied there isn't, however they will be considering it in the future. When they become available, I will definitely purchase at least two......one for myself and my husband, because we believe in supporting local businesses, and we wear a lot of black as well. Where to start… Mama D herself is super welcoming. My oldest and I walked in, I excitedly ran to the donuts and heard “hi”… not thinking it was towards me I ignored the warm welcome… turned around and felt bad realizing it was towards us! I got a scone for my mom the other weekend and she was very pleased with it and asked where I got it. Today I got a scone to try for myself, they are indeed worth the hype; a vanilla iced coffee (best I have ever had!); a bagel with cream cheese (yummmm. The customer who talked them up to me is valid with praising them); and the bourbon jam breakfast biscuit sandwich.
