Cafe 30 — Restaurant in Winfield

The food here is pretty good, but they get busy around lunch and of course on Friday and Saturday evenings. It can get a little hectic in here with so many people running up and down the aisles, but the food is good and they have good prices for what you are getting. The service and staff are always friendly and helpful. They are understaffed on several days that I've been in the store, but it is also a truck stop/convenience store/Cafe 30 food take-out place as well. Expect lots of people depending, on what time you arrive or you can call in your order for take-out, which is 90% of their business. Overall, I like this place. The atmosphere can get a bit chaotic from time to time, but on some days, it's easier to go in and get your lunch here rather than another place. Let me be honest with you for a moment. The food looked good. It's good southern comfort food. They give plates that come equipped with a main dish, 2 sides, 1 bread, a drink, & a dessert. A great deal for a reasonable price just under $10. Unless you add on of course. My meal totaled $18.00. That was because I added on 3 tenders to my goulash plate & ordered a full plate of goulash & not a half order. The food is unseasoned. As I sat there eating my food suddenly I started hearing all this coughing. With these airborne diseases going around & the like it made me regret eating inside. Wow! Mind definitely blown from eating here. We bought a patty melt and chocolate chip cookies (homemade). Kind of skeptical because of being inside of a gas station. Ate that so quick we went right back in and bought another one! The ladies were friendly and I liked how they had all their sweets laid out front so you choose which one you want. We were passing thru but we definitely would stop again if we are in the area. I want one now!! They sell breakfast food...
