El Bandito's Grill — Restaurant in Winhall

Before my rant - the food was good and the person we dealt with was friendly.

We called in a Togo order for two burritos. Guy on the phone told us the total was $50 and change. We thought that was odd $25 per burrito seemed like a lot but we didn't say anything on the phone we figured we just look at an itemized receipt once we got home. My wife went in to pick it up and pay for it after tip we're now at $60. Here's where it gets shady, they charge you, EVEN FOR PICKUP AND TO GO, an automatic 18% tip!! And they don't tell you about this. So my wife goes in and pays and leaves a tip. We get home and remove the receipt they had stapled to the bag to try and figure out how, after tip, we were at $30 per burrito. So not only did they charge an 18% tip without our permission My wife also left them a good tip. It's take out... They didn't find us a table, wait on us hand and foot, check on us, get us Togo boxes when we're done, etc, so none of the stuff that earns an 18% tip. They answered the phone and then slid us our food and took payment. So, while their food is good, watch for hidden charges. We ordered takeout barbacoa tacos, and a burrito, and margaritas and it was all delicious! Portion sizes were very generous with lots of meat and toppings and I loved the pickled cabbage on the tacos!

The person who helped us was super friendly and they waited until we got there to pick up the order to fry off our churros to ensure they were fresh! Great people and food. Definitely check this...

Stopped in for some drinks and an appetizer. The food and drinks were a solid B. The bigger issue is the bartender held my debit card for my tab. I paid him cash to close the tab out. He did not return my card and then proceeded to run it later. I called and was assured it would be taken care of. Needless to say two margaritas cost me about 50...
