The Corner Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Winsted

Food,we were not impressed. Burgers sat on the grill on fire for several minutes and we got them and they were completely raw throughout the inside and crispy edges. Only side option was a bag of plain kettle chips, they do not have a fryer for fries. I got a chicken wrap and they musta nuked the chicken(?) As they only have a grill, not a flat top. Most meals are around $12.

Drinks were terrible. Ordered a long Island which came out with tons of booze.. And a splash of lemon juice... The color of 7up... 7-7 was and vodka Red Bull were bad. 7-7 some places just sucks due to the syrups in their pop.. Vodka Red Bull was overpoured.

Beer was fine. Service was ok. Staff knows it's the cheap bar, so quality falters. Would be better to just offer frozen bar pizzas, and get a flat top griddle.. Maybe they make commercial air friers(?). Make it a build your own burger like cambrias set up bar perhaps?

No plans to go...

This one star isn’t even deserved. Owner is very disrespectful and rude. The fact that the owner genuinely does not care about the customer service provided to the local people shows that they don’t deserve any business from the local people. Asked a simple question regarding if the masters were on TV and he completely jumped down our throat. I am so unbelievably dumbfounded. So unnecessary and unprofessional. Had a old movie playing instead. Don’t catch him on his bad day I guess....

The good: great service and a “good” burger. This place does have a good vibe.

The not-so-good: not a “great” burger. Just good. Sure would have enjoyed some fries to go with that burger but they’re not an option. And, if you’re going to offer “kettle chips“ with your burger I’m going to expect homemade chips and not chips from a bag. The food gets pretty pricey for a so-so burger and a...
