The food is amazing. Always. I love the chicken pita and my husband and boys love their hotdogs. However, i've tried pretty much everything because I get bored anywhere with the same order and I like to try new things. It's all great so far. And their fries and onion rings are the best around. The reason I'm taking one star is simply because of how I feel their employees are not taken care of from the last 2 times I've been. They had the poor kid outside yesterday and he was sweating so bad and looked as if he couldn't stand. Showing signs of severe heat exhaustion. I had my husband give him 2 bottles of water and a pack of liquid IV to hopefully hydrate him faster. But this is ridiculous. They'd only brought him a small cup of water and I guess he couldn't leave his post I don't know. I think the drive through speaker was broke...so what. Send customers to order at the window...you have 2. And the manager was nice and cool standing inside watching everyone pass orders out. They weren't busy it was during down time.... i've worked restaurants so I know. 2pm to 4pm. Plus they were dead just looking around. Anyways, do better darios. You're outrageous prices for icecream lol so you can afford a tent that isn't CEMENTED TO THE GROUND so the kid could atleast stand In the shade unlike the one u had out. And some fans. Something. Or how about just fix your speaker there's a no brainer. Again....go to window #1 u pay at to place orders??? Then pull up to wait as you do anyways. See my point. So being less nice and more blunt because this is a kids life and the heat was brutal...Poor management ideas here. It's not hard. But you don't care because you aren't the one stuck standing outside in it. If that were my child...I'd have your job. He wasn't my child and I made a comment he need to be brought in and checked out but who knows if they listened. Common sense says this is dangerous and unnecessary which is the mind-blowing part. There's many options. So again...love darios and the food. But if this is how they treat their staff...I'll pass on some of our favorite food and tell friends just to prove a point and hopefully get these people...these mostly KIDS better working conditions. And also...this was not the first time we've seen this here. This was just the first time I'd seen the person taking orders so poor in health at the moment which was...

Update 7-29-24 I still recommend this location. Quick service at lunch for dine-in. The double drive-through line was quite busy again today. Original August 2, 2022 our first visit to Dairi O and certainly NOT our last! I highly recommend this location it is hospitable staff is efficient, and the food tastes fresh and delicious. Joel smilingly and patiently took our order ensuring we know all available options which was appreciated. We were not rushed to make our selections. I had the Cod Fish sandwich and Chili Cheese Fries (the chili is not spiy which I found to be great). While he had a Hot Dog, French Fries, pulld pork and Lemonade. Ashley was kind too, she offered to come around the counter to take our photo when she saw us trying to take it ourselves. My nostalgic gaze at the menu with ice cream, floats, and shakes was so tempting although I was full from the food. Great atmosphere! I highly recommend visiting this location. There is also a drive-thru with agents on the outside of the building assisting with order taking (even outside the order window) and two outside at the pickup window keeping the drive-thru moving quickly. I was really impressed. Try it, you'll love it too! August 3, 2023 I returned to Dairi O for lunch today and ordered a Hot Dog on a toasted roll and of course it is made to order with my "fixins." I also ordered a Hot Fudge Cake Sundae swapping the ice cream to Muddy Boots. All was delicious. I'm headed from the Winston-Salem, NC area in the morning. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant if you are in this area. I will watch for this chain in my travels as there are none that I am aware in states farther north...

My rating is strictly for the customer service of store manager Larry Daniels, I usually receive great service and meals at this location. This is the first time I have experienced bad customer service. On 7/12/21 I purchased a Dairi-O All-Star Salad. As I ate the salad I noticed a lot of browned edges and shriveled pieces, which I picked out. However, I then found mold in my salad which I do have a picture of. I drove back to the restaurant to inform the manager, Larry Daniels. I opened my salad and showed him the mold while expressing my deep concern as I am pregnant. He said he didn't see anything, repeatedly. His customer service was extremely poor, he showed no concern and asked if I wanted another, as if fresh salad had been delivered within the time I had ordered and left, to the time I proceeded back to the restaurant. I asked for a refund, he gave it to me. The biggest issue was the lack of concern and not stating that anything would be done with the molded salad, I would hope he didn't sell it to anyone else until getting fresh salad delivered. I spoke with Heidi at headquarters who did express that she wanted to correct the problem, and Pam who did express the deep concern that Larry should have displayed. I hope he reconsiders his position on similar matters, being in charge of an establishment that is selling products that if not properly examined could be harmful to...
