Food was a 1/10. The rice isn't your traditional Jamaican rice, which we all know makes the meal an actual Jamaican Meal. They use long skinny grains that are used in Asian Cuisines and the "peas" are the huge beans. The owner should inform customers that he doesn't make it with the traditional rice and peas because it makes a huge difference with the taste of the food. The rice was bad. The Jerk chicken came with no sauce and no flavor. It honestly tasted like burnt flavorless chicken. This was honestly the worst Jerk Chicken I've ever had. I asked for Oxtail Gravy on my rice. The oxtail gravy was burnt. I confirmed this with my friend who ordered oxtail and rice. He threw his away because it had a scorched taste. Can you picture long skinny rice similar to an Asian cuisine with Burnt oxtail gravy and huge peas? This should not be advertised as a Jamaican meal! The cabbage had way too many carrots. The food was so bad and I can't get my money back so I felt compelled to leave the review so that others don't waste their money and feel how I feel in this moment. I few Like I just got scammed out of 20$. The customer service was excellent but the food...

Taste Jamaica offers an authentic and exceptional dining experience that truly captures the heart of Jamaican cuisine. From the moment you step in, you’re greeted with warm hospitality and a vibrant atmosphere that sets the tone for an unforgettable meal. The menu is packed with flavorful dishes that feel like they’re straight from the island itself. The jerk chicken is perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of heat, and the oxtail is tender, rich, and falls off the bone. Even the sides, like the rice and peas and plantains, are cooked to perfection, bringing a taste of home with every bite.

What truly sets Taste Jamaica apart is the attention to detail and the love that clearly goes into each dish. Every meal feels like a celebration of Jamaican culture, from the spices to the presentation. The portions are generous, the service is top-notch, and the overall experience leaves you feeling satisfied and eager to return.

Whether you’re Jamaican or simply someone who enjoys delicious, well-prepared food, Taste Jamaica is a must-visit. It’s not just a meal—it’s a culinary journey that you...

This food truck was a fantastic experience! The curry chicken was perfectly cooked and the stir-fry vegetables were delicious, with a nice balance of sweetness from the carrots that complemented the curry perfectly. I was pleasantly surprised by the addition of beans to the rice – it was a unique and tasty touch.

Beyond the delicious food, the service was excellent. The truck itself was clean and well-maintained, and I appreciated the use of order notification devices, which is a great way to avoid the noise of generators. The food was prepared incredibly quickly, and it was still piping hot and fresh.

A big thanks to the owners for their hard work!...

This place was fantastic!! I’ve been following them on Instagram for a while, and finally found myself in Winston at the right time to go! I got their jerk chicken with rice and peas, and stir fried veg which was all amazing! They also recommended their beef patty, which was also delicious! Don, who was running the food truck was great! Can’t wait to go back again - the oxtails are next for me!
