Whatever older blonde-ish lady with glasses works in the deli needs to learn how to treat a customer. I call and order a pizza as well as a āLarge greek salad with no onions or tomatoāsā I order at least twice a week from this place the exact same thing every time I order. I go in, the salad has both onion and tomato and the wrong cheese on it. I pointed it out to Bryton, he went over to tell her and she said āWhat she canāt pick it off?ā excuse you? I paid for a salad to be made a certain way, so do that correctly. Thatās your job. She then tells me that I never asked for no onions or tomatoās and if i did, she didnāt hear me. Will not offer to remake my salad though? I leave, then realize that the salad is also missing artichokes. I go back in and she tells me theyāre out, āwould you like a refundā. With that piss poor attitude yeah do not touch anymore of my food, iām afraid of what youāll do to it. Woman needs to learn a little kindness goes a long way. Everyone else there is awesome and always friendly though!
UPDATE: My pizza was missing bacon and had no ranch on it. Will not...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy mom lived just up the road and I would stay with her a few weeks every summer - I live in the south.
We stopped here often either on our way out or easy back from a day jaunting around.
It's a great location to stop and relax for a minute - enjoy the view of the water and just enjoy the natural scenery.
We'd usually get a coke and chips - maybe a Whoopie Pie š We've never had any issue with any employees there.
Funny, tho, I never me the name of this place even years and years of doing there. My mom would just say, "Let's go down to the village." I'm sure she probably knew the name, but never used it whilst chatting with me !
My mom has passed, but I did make up over the summer with my daughter and grandson. My daughter had been there many a time, too, as a kid. She's a young woman now and we both enjoyed stopping by, sitting on the picnic table and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was skeptical of the rave reviews about the food as it's a gas station, but seeing as we arrived late to town we had little other choices. We grabbed an Italian sub and Italian turkey sub. The bottoms were soggy and the tops were stale. The overripe tomato which were half slices (due to poor cuts) purposefully arranged at the opening of the sandwich. No dressing or mayo which makes me thankful I grabbed some mustard while there! The cheese was melting? dissolving? congealing? to the layers below it (no it had not been toasted or melted by heat..) It was on par from what I expect from a gas station, and would've been better off going to a grocery store tbh, but the rave reviews made me give it a chance. If you're passing through do yourself a favor and don't stop - get food elsewhere.
One thing I'm thankful for is atleast I...
