The food is excellent! Options are extensive! Only reason I gave 4 stars is...I ordered 7 piece sushi with California roll, I made a special request for the roll, it was honored & delightful! However the 7 piece sushi part of the dish left much to be desired. I received 4 salmon & 3 tuna. Very excellent pieces, don't get me wrong, but 7 pieces of only 2 things? I thought it was going to be 7 pieces of different things 😕. Sadly when I ordered the same thing several weeks ago it was 7 different pieces. Why was this night different? LOVED IT! Like many other Chinese joints in the area, this is a no frills, American-Chinese restaurant. They have set themselves apart from the rest with better quality food, lower prices, and friendly service.

I have tried almost every Chinese joint in Deptford, Woodbury, and Westville area, yet I keep coming back to Golden Palace. They are quite flexible with certain substitutions I often want for a particular dish, and for that I'm evermore thankful.

Their prices are lower than the competition, and their menu is extensive. The lady at the counter is always friendly which is always a plus.

Typically a chance stop, not a destination but will court this Chinese / Japanese place at least once every other month. The food is good and portions accurately pinned with area standards. I do however personally find the chicken and black bean sauce or the curry (ask for extra spice) quite the eat compared to others. The Sushi is good but can't really say anything stands out. What keeps me from enjoying a more often visit sadly is my fellow guests of some whom are loud and disturb the quiet typically in a takeout / dining...
