Kishwaukee Brewing Co. — Restaurant in Woodstock

It’s very disheartening to give this brewery one star, but the reasons are valid. I was part of a large party who visited the brewery the afternoon of 9/9/2023 to celebrate a 40th birthday. We arrived on a charter bus and welcomed by the staff. As a group, we ordered various beers, enjoyed the delicious food offered by the food truck, and several of us participated in the Octoberfest festivities.

Unfortunately, one of our group fell ill and spent a portion of that time in the bathroom. During all of this, an employee came into the bathroom and left without incident. Our friend was never left unattended and our group made sure everything was left “tidy”. Sooooo, why the one star? Buckle up.

Kishwaukee knew our next brewery stop and kindly called the owner to “warn” him of us. I’m not sure what their narrative was, but the message was received and we were turned away at the next brewery before even stepping foot off of the bus.

At anytime did Kishwaukee approach us regarding our sick friend? No.

Were we asked to leave the Kishwaukee Brewery? Also, no. In fact, they continued to serve us. I guess money talks. Funny that they didn’t want the other brewery to enjoy the same financial gain they received.

I guess it’s ok to just go urinate on a floor and not take responsibility, nice. ** I was there when the few ”Party Bus” complainers on some of these reviews were there, they were rude, wasted and throwing up, one guy urinated on the bathroom floor and dumped a beer on his friends head after losing a stein holding contest. Found this place by doing searches of breweries in the area. Good selection of craft beer. Had a flight of 6 and enjoyed most of what I tried. Nice patio, plenty of green space for entertainment and the furbabies. Excellent and friendly customer service. I'm a huge fan of being able to see the process behind the scenes while sipping some delicious cold brews. I look for atmosphere as one of my top reasons to visit a brewery, unfortunately this brewery didn't hit me with the wow factor. With that said I would still reccomend it for...
