Mamma Italia Ristorante — Restaurant in Woodstock

The prices are off the charts for what you’re getting. I ordered shrimp scampi for $28 and was served a LITERAL CUP PORTION of penne pasta and 5 over cooked shrimp. My friend got the same thing. $28 for what? I expressed my concerns to the waitress because that is a wild price and there was a miss communication where I had indicated I wanted the appetizer size of the shrimp. Apparently the appetizer size for $16 is only 3 cooked shrimp. That’s it. For $16!?!?!

My bf asked for linguini with chicken parm but apparently the chefs too Italian to change a pasta? Who cares when we are paying for it!

My other friend got a large portion of Lasagna for $20 which was great, but it had the top slightly burnt and the middle cold so we were really wondering if it was reheated, which is fine considering it’s lasagna, but the center was cold and she wasn’t about to have it reheated again when the top was burnt and she already had to share with her bf because he had like 7 pieces of penne and 5 overcooked shrimp which obviously fills no man -_-

We were afraid to speak up once served the food while we were there bc even the waitress seemed afraid of the chef tbh.

Normally I love to support a small business and would not go off like this, but the atmosphere can’t make you feel forced to “eat what you get and don’t complain.” I truly hope y’all take this into consideration, improve your portions of pasta, and if a customer requests to change their pasta, change the freaking pasta.

We stopped there tonight to try the new place in the area. The restaurant was was busy. We were greeted by the hostess and she asked the name on the reservation. We replied we did not have one. Without a reservation the only seats available would be at the counter. We really wanted to try them out so we decided to stay. One of the best decisions we have made in a long time. These seats gave us a bird's eye view of the kitchen and all meals coming out. The staff functioned like Swiss watch. I was amazed with the efficiency and how quickly they were able get all the orders out. I need to make one thing clear the meals that came out were prepared to perfection. I had the Pollo Parmigiana and my wife had Spaghetti and Meatballs. We are so excited to have meals of this quality so close to home. We will be frequent customers to this...

Sorry to say we never got to taste the food. The woman behind the counter was so rude and offensive that our party walked out. The server that seated us tried very hard to accommodate us but had no clue what was going on. He couldn’t answer any of our questions and it was obvious he was not informed of the menu. When we decided to leave the woman announced loudly so that everyone could hear that we were leaving because they did not serve wine. I did tell her it was because of her attitude. We were so offended and uncomfortable we felt it had ruined our plans for lunch. I hope she reads this and changes...
