This is my first time eating here and I ate lunch. The service was good and each course came out with perfect timing. There’s no privacy. Booths are way too close to each other. I heard every word of every person at every table in my section (3) because there’s only about three feet in between the booths that are to your right. In addition, you share the back part of the seat with the booth behind you. I ordered Tom Yum Koong soup and there were only three shrimp and three mushrooms in a lot of broth that had too much fish sauce. I expected more shrimp for the price. I also ordered spring rolls as an appetizer which were a little mushy inside. I have no idea what it was that was mushy, undercooked wonton paper or some of the veggies inside? My main course was Pad Prik Chicken and there wasn’t much chicken in it and it lacked flavor. The Jasmine rice and veggies were cooked perfectly. Overall I give this Thai restaurant a 3 out of 5 because I’ve eaten at several area Thai restaurants and this one is lacking in flavor and portion size for the money in comparison to the others. If you don’t mind the closeness and the lack of true authentic Thai flavors then this place is for you, but if you want the full Thai experience with great flavors and where the portion sizes match the price then go elsewhere. *Another con is that they don’t have any soups or sides like crab rangoon and spring rolls on their lunch menu. You have to ask for the dinner menu to see options.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE AND A RACIST OWNER!!! FOOD 0/5 There's nothing thai about this place! Thai fried rice had no flavor, thai beef salad tasted like just plain beef salad. Their spring rolls has absolutely no favor. Service 2/5 They had a lady who didn't speak/understand English. It's not her fault. She did her beat but the owner was very rude to her and the service was slow during sow time. Atmosphere 0/5 This place felt filthy dirty! The table was unstable, the seats felt very icky amd dirty. There was dirt/dust all over the trims. *The owner tried to charge us for condiments!! It's the restaurant's responsibility to provide for things like soy sauce, hot sauce, duck sauce,.etc. But he charged us for a sauce that would normally come with the spring rolls. When we asked him, he had an really bad attitudes and told my husband, who happens to be black, not to ever come back because we questioned him about being charged for the sauce. He was very attentive and kind to white people!

This is a true hidden gem! I was very impressed with this restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious!! Best coconut-chicken soup I have ever had, excellent spring rolls, fresh vegetables in my Pad Prik and our meal (on a Sunday afternoon) even included ice cream for the finish, which was a nice surprise! I want to take a moment and comment on the fact that the staff here really seems to take pride in their restaurant and it shows in every aspect of what they do here. From the moment I walked-in the door, I was greeted with a warm smile and direct eye contact that was sincere. Looking around, I noticed that everything was very clean and taken care of. When the food arrived, it was presented with care and you could tell these people really care about making and serving quality food in a nice atmosphere. I highly recommend this restaurant!

I hate giving bad reviews, but when deserved I do. This was our first time to New Thai Ginger & we went based on positive Yelp reviews. I've eaten Thai food hundreds of times in 26 states, so I have a decent sense of what I think good Thai should taste.

Appetizer: The Crystal Roll, which in every other restaurant I've eaten in was rice paper - here it was fried like an egg roll, very disappointing & extremely greasy, enough so that we both stopped after two bites. That was our mistake for not reading the menu more closely to see their odd naming convention.

Soup: We both love Tom ka Kai (coconut milk soup) & both found this to be very watery, with almost no contents, & almost tasteless. Another real disappointment.

Entree: I had Panang Curry which is the dish I use to gauge Thai restaurants by. I know Panang Curry as being thick, salty & sweet, with a nutty peanut flavor. Their version, like the Tom ka Kai, was very watery with almost no taste. There was some heat, but zero taste. A major disappointment.

Entree: My lady had Basil Steak, a "Chef's Special". She said the meat was tasteless, the gravy bland, & the vegetables uninspiring. She stopped eating with 3/4 of her meal left on the plate. It was poor enough that she didn't ask for a go box.

Service: There were only two people working the dining room & register. To say the service was slow would be a compliment. I started to leave a gratuity commensurate with the service, but changed my mind & left 20% because not having sufficient staff isn't the fault of the poor little waitress running her tail off, it's the fault of poor management.

I gave two stars because I feel 1 star would mean food poisoning. Granted, Thai food may be made very different in Acworth, GA than in the 25 other states I've had it, but I seriously doubt it. It's seldom that I find Yelp reviews to be way off & this is one instance where it...

I've been coming here for over 20 yrs. And unfortunately my last 3 visits have lacked in everything. My husband and I had to walk out the last time. Unfortunately the owner refuses to hire help or people just don't last working here and therefore he does everything himself. Walked in the other day and they had tables available but made us wait for him to clean the other tables that became available in order to sit us which took at least 10 mins. Then after they sat us he again proceeded to work the register and cleaning tables even though he had one extra person working and never took our order. After seeing a couple leave because they waited for 1 hr for their food that they never got my husband and I walked out. I decided to give them another chance and went to lunch the owner was rude, again took forever to take our order until we asked even though again he had help which he only let's them poor water or maybe take the food out. Once our food was out which was like an hr. Later it was such a small portion. Not worth the wait. Don't know if I'll...
