Wayback Burgers — Restaurant in Worcester

Don’t waste your time with this location (Tobias way, next to Walmart). The employees, ESPECIALLY the store manager, are ALWAYS rude, especially towards DoorDash delivery drivers. Very unprofessional and bad for business.

My husband went to this location to pick up an order for his customer on the DoorDash platform. The store manager refused my husband using the restroom, my husband pleaded with the man and told him that he is on diuretics (medication he takes for his many health conditions). But this “man” wouldn’t let him use the restroom. I hope this “man” never has medical issues and never has to feel the embarrassment and other emotions that come with having medical issues of being denied a restroom in a public place.

Not sure why these employees always give attitude towards third party delivery drivers? If it weren’t for these drivers you wouldn’t have the business from these customers that can’t pick up their own food (for whatever reason). Also, if orders are ready to be picked up (that are already paid for) you shouldn’t make drivers wait in the long line behind other customers waiting to even place their order. This makes the food that’s already ready to go, cold.

Needless to say I would never give this company any of my business and I will let everyone I know how shady this...

Public restroom are blocked off, but they allow people to eat inside. I couldn't wash my hands before touching foods that i eat with my hands????? Glad i brought my own hand sanitizer. I get that its a small place to start, but their is no space between anyone, there are tables right next to where you order. When walking in i noticed that they have put up signs that state this table has been sanitized. I place an order sat at a table, and watched others come in eat or sit wait for their food and go, not 1 employee wiped down a table and their was 6 that i could see. I was inside order and ate and had to be there for at least 30 minutes I order a shake i highly recommend the shakes. I got strawberry and it was fantastic. The shake was probably the best part of my whole experience although my burger was tasty they did miss some of my toppings. The fries where good felt as if they need more cheese and bacon. The young man that took my order also delivered it to me he was really nice. 2nd milkshake was ordered after. Prices are a little high. I may have given higher stars if cleaner and restroom...

This location may need to go through some food handling and sanitation training.

Being there for only 10 minutes I witnessed one worker who was adding toppings to burgers and bagging to go orders use their gloved hand to grab the collar of their shirt to cough into it and then go back to touching food with the same gloves on without washing their hands or changing their gloves. Even before covid this would be a common sense food handling 101 of "wash my hands and change my gloves."

Another worker was mopping while wearing gloves and then would handle the fryers and the food with the same gloves on.

I understand that not every place follows sanitary food handling practices when things are busy, but these all felt like common sense things where just changing your gloves goes a long way. Also, not working when you are sick.

I did eat the food because I had already paid for it and, while the cleanliness was in question -- the food smelled good and it did taste good. I would come back, but if I see the same type of mishandling and sanitary worries, I wouldn't be back...
