These guys are an amazing pizza restaurant, and they put together a bowl of charcuterie that looks like art.. However I think the mashed potatoes were instant, and the $30 price tag that came along with dry aged steak definitely did not come out medium rare (more like medium well). It reminded me more of ham really, don't get me wrong I will eat a raw ground beef steak tartar with a quail egg in Richmond (and pay the same). I'm not squeamish about steak. I was not very impressed with the cut either. The sauteed broccoli were kind of soggy and almost seemed to be blanched or frozen..
I could spend a similar price at La Malbec in Bloomsburg, Damenti's in Hazleton, or DiSalvo's in Williamsport and get five stars with marble, copper art with a view overlooking the valley, or international taste. I think a fair price would have been around 18, I was credited $17 because I didn't care for it and the waitress tried her best to make up for it in some measure. The staff are wonderful, the entire atmosphere feels like family.. However they are not La Malbec; they are a great family restaurant, and I would definitely return.. but I would not buy a high-end entree. I will be sticking with pizza or calamari. By the way they are generous with their portions and their pour. The service gets 5 stars, however I think pricing and finish could find a better balance.
We did have the time of our life in October, when it was cold at an outdoor table with a fire pit in the center of it.
We have been planning our return to this restaurant around that table being available.. I think they're missing out on a great opportunity to capitalize on their outdoor area in between seasons and match some of their competition. If they did I think that they would have their Market Share dominated. (not to mention at least half the population of this country prefer outdoor seating right now #2020struggles).
This place is either a very talented pizza shop trying to blossom into a five-star restaurant, or a great family restaurant that has no need for the additional menu items. A minor renovation, and full utilization of their outdoor spaces, while keeping their high-end menu on par with Damenti's.. They would be a perfect 5 (If I didn't spend close to $100 tonight on instant mashed potatoes..). I'd have just ordered pizza and charcuterie and this place would be...
Read moreI gotta say we go just about every week. We love the sweet sauce pizza. We have had dinners as well. We have had showers, retirement parties,New Years Eve,Mothers Day dinners over the years. I must say it's not as good as it used to be. On our most recent visit we were seated, ordered drinks and a short time gave our order. The server brought our salads and dumped them on the table. We realized we had no silverware. She was gone and not visible for 5 minutes before I had to ask the hostess for silverware. We finished our salad and they're bringing out our food already. Barely had time to breathe. Kitchen help brings our food. We had a 4 year old with us. The chicken fingers were overcooked and dark. We were told that's how our coating is! WHAT? I had pasta. No parmesan cheese on the table nor was I asked if I wanted any. So we sat there unsatisfied waiting, and waiting and waiting. Finally my daughter goes up to the hostesses and requests our server. We needed a new kids meal, drinks were empty, parmesan cheese, napkins, and the sauce my daughter asked for with her wrap wasn't brought out initially and wasn't brought out the second time either! Do these servers get trained? At the end of the meal the server was all of a sudden attentive because it's tip time. We have had other bad experiences there like burned pizza and they took 5% off the bill. You gotta be kidding. Sometimes you need to comp things when customers arent happy. Nobody goes through life without making mistakes. I guess Adelinas think their perfect. The place needs more attention by its owners or they need a manager to...
Read moreThe food was good. We had lobster bisque as a soup, clams casino and calamari fir appetizers. The calamari was very good, tender and nice flavor. Our meals simple and good pasta garlic and oil as well as spaghetti and sausage. The food is worth coming back for however the service needs work. We were seated and it took 12 minutes before anyone came to the table to say Hi or take a drink order. There was another table that was sat about 5 minutes after us, they were waited on and received their drinks before anyone came to us. Once our server did come we gave our orders drinks and food as we knew what we wanted. Food did come out in a nice time frame but when my soup came the server said she drop the spoon and would be right back with a new one. That did not happen, she didn't come back with a new spoon for me but did go to another table and drop off food and ran in the back before I could catch her. I did flag down another server and asked for a spoon. Five minutes later I was able to enjoy my soup. The lag time between her coming to the table was not what I expected. As a server myself, attentiveness is important. The restaurant did not look too busy and there were a good amount of servers working that night so I am not sure why we had...
