Ordered orange chicken, curry chicken, appetizers for two, wonton soup, and Vietnamese coffee. I can say, without hesitation, that this is one of the best sit-down experiences I've had in a while.
The Vietnamese coffee came out first, in original, individual carafes. I had never seen this before, and it was very neat to watch and experience. The coffee itself was fantastic, and I now have a new love for it. The wonton soup was fantastic, and the appetizers were crunchy and satisfying. All of the items are deep-fried and a bit heavy. If I had to pick a favorite, I'd suggest the crab Rangoon and fried wontons; they were the most flavorful. The eggrolls are peppery and fresh, but they just weren't my personal favorite. Both the orange chicken AND the curry chicken were fresh, savory, and mild in spice. They're so much better than I was expecting. They truly taste homemade, and not overwhelmingly salty or heavy.
Overall, I KNOW I'll be back for more. They deserve a much higher rating than they have now. I highly recommend anyone interested in Chinese, Vietnamese, and/or Korean food to give it a chance. It's tucked away in a corner lot and the decor is outdated... But the food is...
Read moreFirst time eating here and we were left a little disappointed. We mainly came here for pho, but it was temporarily unavailable which broke my heart. Being viet, I ordered bun thit nuong like I usually do, the rest of my party ordered Chinese dishes. While I enjoyed my dish more than my party, I thought the fish sauce dressing tasted a little more sweet than usual. One member of my party who is whiter than marshmallow fluff, is a particular picky eater and couldn’t really hold down her food, but my kids seemed to enjoy most of their food. The atmosphere was nice and quiet and the server assisted us with whatever we needed. If they ever serve pho again, I probably would come here to try it, but other than that I think once is enough for me. Nothing wrong with the place or anything, I just think the food is a little too sweet for...
Read moreI really hate to do this to a small business, but the food I received today was awful. The lo mein had very thin and translucent noodles, coated in sauce. The taste was extremely similar to mei fun, which I stated to the person on the phone after I called about this order. The egg roll was burnt and had next to no filling inside, and the Generals Chicken was extremely sweet and citrusy and absolutely swimming in sauce, which makes me think I got orange chicken instead. I am extremely unhappy with this food and I ended up throwing all of it away. So I’m out $60 and was told I’m wrong about the food with no acknowledgment from them about the taste and quality of the food. Just unfortunate from a family...
