I bought a 3 item medium pizza for $13.99. Sales tax is 6%. They charge an additional fee of 3% for credit card use. Do the math on that. It should total $15.25. Instead they charged me $15.42, which is 10.22% on the $13.99. I first explained this to the young girl behind the counter, and she told me that’s what it rang up to be. I asked to speak to the manager, and an Asian lady (Owner?) spoke with me. I showed her on my iPhone calculator, that the bill should be $15.25, not $15.42, and she basically said the same thing the clerk told me, that that’s what the register calculated the bill to be, $15.42. As a consumer, I’ve bought my last pizza at Villa Mia. When it was run by a great couple, Frank & Maria, and then their niece, Fina, and her husband, Frank, again, great people, I never had an issue over many, many years. As previously stated, I’ve bought my last pizza at a much different ownership at Villa Mia. Read the owner’s explanation (excuse!), below. She could have overridden the register’s total bill, but she chose not to. What a dishonest response, saying they had issues with their cash register for a few days. Does anyone...
Read moreWent two weeks ago for the first time. Disappointed. When I went inside, paid for the order and was told it would be a couple mins. 20mins past and another person said it would be a couple more mins. More time passed and someone asked my name again. I heard whispers that they couldn’t find my pizza that I’ve been waiting for inside for 40 min after being told it would be a couple. “Owner” sounded super nice and came out to explain it and they would make me a new one and the next one would be free. She said she had written it down and would put it in a spot to find it for when we called back. Called to order our free pizza tonight and the “owner” answered the phone, said she couldn’t find were the free pizza was placed but she could give us a 14in, when we originally got a 16 and said we could get one the next time. She also said it had been too long to remember that happening. Must happen a lot, if she can’t remember because I remember waiting an 1 1/2 from when originally it was called in. We will stick to our original place...
Read moreLet's start by saying our family lives for pizza! After moving to grand rapids area in 2016 we went on the hunt for our new favorite pizza place. To say we have tried more places than we can count is an understatement. We thought we had found a favorite but then new ownership happened and it was not up to par anymore so the hunt began again. We had driven past the Villa Mia many many times and finally my husband pulled up their menu and reviews. #1 we were blown away at the prices! So affordable! #2 the reviews were overall very pleasant. Finally today we decided pizza delivery is in order for dinner, mind you we used doordash for delivery which can be a bit dicey sometimes. Upon delivery our order was fresh, hot, and smelled amazing! Upon opening each item to inspect and we were BLOWN away! The quality, smell, taste, and overall freshness of everything was astounding! Also the price! So much more affordable than many locally owned pizza places!! With that being said this is now our new go too place to...
