Our experience and  meal  can only be described  as a NIGHTMARE. Here is our experience: After waiting 17 minutes, there wasn't a line only 3 stressed out servers that kept apologizing every few minutes telling us they would be right with us. Brittian one of the 3 waitstaff we observed at Hathaway's stopped by to apologize for our wait. I asked if we could eat in the lounge and she said yes and she'd be our server. Here's what we received at what is advertised as one of Cheyenne’s foremost restaurants. Hathaway’s offers "overcooked mealy" steak, that was not even a recognizable cut much less a T-bone steak served with a side of limp french fries that were gummy the second side was a lackluster salad poorly dressed with the cheapest ranch dressing that didn't taste like ranch. The second T-bone steak order was served with burnt oil saturated sweet potato fries and another failed salad. My mother and I both ordered herb breadcrumb topped rainbow trout. We received gummy topped rainbow trout, saw dust texture cooked with a side of cold oily green beans. When we received our food the first thing we mentioned to our server was the steaks served were not T-Bone steaks and pointed out they were not cooked to order. Our server looked confused, she was nice but didn't know her cuts of meat either.  My father & mother.were so angry by the food we were served! After we were seated our appetizer and beverage order was taken at 19:41 and 20:05 the appetizer (a quesadilla 5 PC) was delivered to the table, entrees were served served at 20:31. My husband's entree was so overcooked it had to be sent back and redone. His second entree was served at 21:10 and equally inedible. You can't make up incompetence like this: The following morning after calling the number on the business card we were provided , calling the number 4 consecutive times Heather Foster Food and Beverage Director finally answered the phone; when she answered the phone, she advises everyone to call a separate phone number because she never listens to her VM. I was stunned! Ms. Foster actually, advises callers on the office voicemail, she doesn't check the messages, rarely answers the phone and advised callers to call Miranda Martinez the Catering Manager speak to her and if necessary leave  messages for the Food and Beverage Director and she'll get back to you. The manager and all the kitchen staff deserve to be fired, it is sad none of these people are willing to show up and do their jobs! Everyone in those positions deserve to be replaced. So .. where should I start . I paid for an upgraded room and upon check they informed me that they upgraded my upgrade at no extra cost! I literally felt like a princess walking down the glass hallway to my well appointed executive sweet . Room 290 with 2 balconies ( standing only) .The bed was amazing and the pillows had me floating in a dream! The bathroom was fabulous.. glass shower! However make sure you adjust water before getting in ...especially when traveling with kids. The grounds were perfection with green trees and the resort itself is nestled on a golf course . The Hathaway restaurant was fabulous, but what made it one of the best experiences I've had at a resort was Makenzie .Her cheery personality and calm demeanor ( even when she was training) was so refreshing as it is rare these days . So shout out to Makenzie for strong customer service skills! She even gave me a tour of the banquet/ buisness rooms .Food was great! Speaking of banquet halls everything was well appointed and very inviting. I would highly recommend weddings, meetings and other fabulous celebrations at this property as they continously remodel and upgrade ! The views on golf course are stunning! The pool was refreshing and I saw a young man checking PH balance through the day . Great care! All in all one of the best overall experiences I've had ! And the rates are low for all that you get! Gift shop has all you need as well and there is a Sinclair as well on property hidden behind the trees! Thank you Little America! I'm a huge fan!

Mediocre food and severely understaffed for a dinner service. Three servers on the floor for about 150 ppl space during dinner. Each was not really taking care of sections, the woman server was ignoring some of her seatings (including mine and another that gave up and left) or was just really disorganized and didn’t take note of seating times. She kept going back to the same tables. There needs to be a front of house hostess or manager to orchestrate the team. You can’t expect the servers to be doing so many things at once and expect to give great service every time. If anything, your bottleneck should be the kitchen, not front of house where you have higher risk of losing customers. Get them seated, snacking. Land their order. If I wasn’t stuck at this location I’d woulda left after waiting 25min to get seated, 15 to put in my order. Very inefficient. I’ve been waiting 15 min for my check.

I really hate giving a restuarant such a low rating because I'm very understanding in almost all situations, especially during the holiday but this, this was very unacceptable. I made a reservation about a week and a half ago for the Thanksgiving dinner/buffet because we dont have family near by and it was suggested by multiple people to go here. When we arrived 10 minutes early to check in (our reservation was at 4pm), I gave them my name and then the hostess (or what ever she may have been) just stood there, pointed at something, and said something to what looked like another employee. It was awkward because she didnt sat anything. It was like she was waiting for something to happen specifically. But after standing there for 20 minutes and hearing her tell other folks waiting in line that she is waiting for someone to get back, I assumed a manager or possibly someone else who is supposed to be the hostess with table counts. I shrugged and told my husband (who was with me) to sit until they have something together. 2 people in groups of 2 and 4 went ahead of us and walked in after us which was strange but I digress. Finally I heard my name after 5 more minutes of waiting and we were taken into a nice dining room. Once we got to the table, my husband went up for food and I waiting for the server to come by for drink requests. 7 minutes later and he arrived offering water. I requested 2 mimosas and wasnt carded. I'm 22 years old and my husband is 23... so that could have gotten the waiter fired off the bat.. not impressed and very dangerous on his part. Once my husband came back with his first plate, I went up hoping to get some good food and from hearing such good reviews of the food. Unfortunately I was HORRIFIED by the spread. The plates were very oddly placed where salad was to your right and the rest of the buffet was to your left. Strange, and a bit inconvenient for people wanting salad. The plates I picked up were dirty. I'm not talking stuck on food dirty I'm talking who ever wanted to take the stuffing spoon and whip it around causing crumbs to fall on all of the clean plates and some kind of sauce spills, thanks for that because now the plates are dirty. Although not the workers fault, they should have seen the mess and delt with it asap as a food safety precaution. (It wasnt delt with until I got up there for the second plate of food which was at least 20 minutes later) Now the first round was good, except I was put off by how there was still breakfast stuff still out??? That was weird for a dinner. But hey, maybe for kids? I dont know, I just hoped it wasnt from that same morning. Anyway, when I get back to the table with my second plate I see my husband with his second plate as well, but he was paler than a ghost. Worried I asked what was wrong. He pointed and I saw not one, not 2, but 3 SHRIMP WHERE UNDER COOKED, DIRTY (not cleaned properly aka the specific veins), AND PARTIALLY RAW!!! Like whoa!! I'm paying $40/ person with a potential health hazard here! I know its busy but that is a serious no no in any food and restaurant business. Of course we both knew it was busy but I went up to the counter to check the rest of the shrimp, literally almost half of them were under cooked, partially raw and dirty looking. Its was mortifying! We lost our appetite, asked for the check, and left feeling ill after what we saw and what we may have eaten. We wont ever be back on a holiday or even for a nights stay because I dont trust the kitchen. I'm writing this 6 hours after this experience, wanting to make sure our stomachs are ok. So far so good and crossing my fingers there was nothing contaminated with a possible food borne illness. I'll keep this updated if we do get anything but, I dont think we will. I wanted to write this specifically in hopes that the managers or even the owner can maybe see what happened so that for the future it doesnt happen again for your guest's sake. And in hopes no one will have food...

I usually don't have an exceptional or terrible enough experience to warrant writing a review but I feel I need to warn someone about eating here.

Our party of eight arrived at about 6:45 pm. For the size of the room, it was not a busy night. We ordered food around 7:00 pm: one small appetizer and eight entrees.

First problem was the appetizer: bacon-wrapped shrimp. Three of the four shrimp were undercooked, as well as the bacon around those shrimp. Our server apologized and said he would take it off the final tab.

Next problem was the wait. The undercooked shrimp showed up at about 7:10. The entrees didn't come until 7:45. And when they did, there were more problems. Two members of our party ordered the exact same item, yet when the food arrived, their plates looked like two different meals. They had ordered pasta, and one came with different vegetables and no sauce, the other with the correct vegetables and an overwhelming amount of sauce. Our server assured us they were the same, but offered to bring some of the sauce and vegetables on the side to make up for it but never brought any. We had to split the plates ourselves to make it even.

I was handed a plate of pasta as well, even though I ordered the steak and chicken nachos. The server realized he had an extra pasta plate and said he would be right out with my correct entree. About 5 minutes later he came back out, saying that my food had been given to someone in the bar area. He apologized again and said it would be another few minutes to get another plate for me. I said that was alright. Having worked in food service for many years, I'm a pretty patient person at restaurants. However, I was given my food as my father was waiting to get his card back from paying our check, almost half an hour after everyone else had finished theirs, and well over an hour after I ordered it. The food was lukewarm, the chips were soggy, and the cheese coagulated. It was almost as if they had been made fifteen minutes earlier and sat there before anyone bothered to bring it out.

I don't blame the server, there were obviously problems in the kitchen. But this was all around a...
