Wyoming Pastry Shop — Restaurant in Wyoming

I have visited the pastry shop here and there for almost 20 years since my mom moved us out this way. They have always had great pastries and great service. Here lately I have been closely watching their Facebook story and have been seeing the cake slices they have for sale. I have seen a few that I wanted to get but just didn’t make it to get a slice. On Thursday 6/20/24, they posted yellow cake with cotton candy buttercream. I knew I needed to get it. After I picked up my son I called to see if they had any more slices left and I was told they had 2 left and the lady on the phone asked if I wanted her to put them to the side for me. Not even 3 minutes later, I arrived with my son to pick up the slices. Service was amazing as it had always been in the past. When we got settled at home we opened up a slice. Let’s just say I only had a corner of one slice and it was amazing!!! My 2 year old devoured the rest of the cake even licking the icing out of the container. So safe to safe this was a winner. I still have one slice left to enjoy. I hope this flavor will come back around often so I can buy more. Maybe even be able to place and order for a whole cake like this. Either way, it was amazing and we can’t wait to try more...

Previously had left 5 star. Not today. Cookie was not with signage. She said it had royal icing. So? Got outside, bill was $17 which seemed high,, but the damn cookie was $7 frickin dollars! What was the red icing, actually 14k gold? So I thought, well is it a moist cookie with delicious icing?!?! Got home, one bite, most stale worthless cookie ever. BUYER BEWARE. Lost our business. I should have been told it was $7.00 or at least a sign on the tray. I NEVER in my life have bought a SEVEN DOLLAR cookie. Worthless piece of stale crud. I should get a refund. Period. It's inedible. Cookie has no flavor, and if it is rock hard and if the ingredients are so expensive and it is labor intensive, and the retail cost is way too much, then why bother to make them? UPDATE: Manager said they've refunded the $7.00, but I cannot revise this review until it actually does happen. UPDATE: $7.00 refund finally came through. 👍 I have changed review to 3 stars. But due to the entire situation it has to be a 3 star for now. Thanks for the refund, which was fair. Most of the items we have previously purchased have been good. Stopped in this morning to grab a couple dozen donuts for my husband's workplace. The service was amazing. I unfortunately did not get the name of the lady who assisted me, but she was so kind and helpful. Not to mention the donuts were a huge hit with the guys at the shop!! A little sweet treat on a Friday morning I think makes the day go a little better than usual. Thank you so much for the delicious treats and wonderful service!! Easy street parking made it an in and out trip. Even though it was around 8:30 when I arrived they still had a huge selection of donuts and pastries! I will absolutely be back! Hopefully I don't get in too much trouble with the other wives for fattening up their husbands. :)

**Edit to add... I have a HUGE tattoo across my chest (amongst many others). Can't miss it. I was treated with the upmost respect and kindness. I don't see the comment about them discriminating a tattooed individual holding any validity. Every single person in the building from the employees to the patrons were incredibly warm...
