I visited Oliver's for the first time on Thursday, June 17, 2021 around 7 pm (party of 2). Upon arriving we were a little confused on where to check in, but quickly went through another set of doors and found the hostess stand. The restaurant was not super busy and we were seated right away. The atmosphere was nice and in general the place felt very clean and tidy except for a few food stains on my menu. Our server was very kind and pleasant to talk to. She informed us about the specials and seemed knowledgeable about the different food offerings. Overall the service was fantastic, 5-stars! The food on the other hand, not as great, but still good. We both ordered burgers and asked to have them both cooked medium. Mine came out perfectly medium with a lovely pink center and was delicious. However, the other burger was well done and overcooked. Had the server asked how the food was, we would have pointed out the over cooked burger, but once we got our food no one check in with how it was. So -1 star for inconsistent cooking of the burgers. I would recommend the burger to order, but if you do, you'll definitely want to check that it's cooked to your liking, or order something else if you don't want to take the risk. Then, at the end of the meal I went to the restroom to wash the grease from the food off my hands and there was no soap in the men's restroom! The dispenser was completely empty!! The restrooms definitely need to be checked more often for things like this or have some sort of backup soap for people to use if the main one runs out. I shouldn't have to ask for soap at a restaurant. So -1 star for not keeping up the restroom stocked. Also, at the bottom of the receipt there is an area that asks "How are we doing?" with a number to text. I tried giving this feedback there, but no sort of response came through after several attempts to leave feedback that way.
Would I come back? Probably. I'm willing to give Oliver's a second try, but I'll likely not be back as soon as I would had my experience been a...
Read moreSome good and bad. I ordered a california-style salad here a few weeks ago for lunch. When they answer the phone, the second time I called... They made it seem as though it was going to be inconvenient. They asked what I was going to order and how much of the food I'm going to order as if they weren't prepared to be taking orders at the time. So the salad was delicious and I recommend my family to come in a couple of weeks once everyone return from vacation. The menu was kind of scarce, and I really hope they add more to it at some point in time. It's really nothing like anything else that we have in the area, because it's geared more towards higher-end dining in a way. Once our food came out the pasta was cold and my chicken was not cooked properly. It was super tough and chewy like an eraser on a pencil. I barely ate three quarters of it. Someone else at my table also ordered the same thing and their chicken was perfectly fine but their pasta was also cold. the blackened Cod was Stone Cold and the risotto underneath was also very cold. The $30 steak was "okay". Not our opinion of medium rare. But I really think this place has good flavorful food and it has a lot of potential. And I have no doubt in my mind that it will advance and become one of the best places in the area. Which is why I gave it a decent review. Three stars may not sound like a whole lot but it's actually considered "good". Ill give it another shot.
Update: January 2021. I hesitate to order from here because the take out is never ready on time. I've waited a solid 20 mins extra before. I'm waiting again today... Youd think the food would be hot if it's still not done yet, usually isn't. They really need to enforce the masks as well. A...
Read moreThis was the place to be in the area. Definitely don't miss this place. It's where everyone went after the event we were there for. They have so many great options for drinks, appetizers, burgers, salads, dinner, and especially desserts. We went here twice with our friends. It was amazing. Service was exceptional. Their food was great and their home made desserts were to die for. We ate dessert there the first night and on the second night, It was hard to leave without getting dessert to go. We couldn't resist. We'll be back for sure whenever we're in the area. It's a gold mine for sure. I had Shrimp Tacos, Southwest Salad and some Cocktails. My husband had the Pickle Chips, Prime Rib Cheesesteak, and the Triple Bacon Cheeseburger. When the Pickle Fries came, everyone devoured them. Oh, and the Parmesan Truffle Fries are a must. The desserts (Wow!!!). Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Cheesecake and the Giant Chocolate Cake. Yum. Then the 2nd night we took the Peanut Butter Pie with us. OMG. I gained 3 lbs over the weekend. Wish this place was closer to home. We'd be...
