Nick's Restaurant — Restaurant in Xenia

First time going to Nick's been wanting to go for over 3 Years! We walked in no one greeted at first we were sat down is was extremely hot so then we ask to be seated outside where it's cooler as soon as we sit down our waitress tells us they are closing we thought she meant the kitchen because online the restaurant says open to midnight and 230am all other nights!!! So we immediately feel bad even apologized saying we didn't know that's was one of the reasons why we went there for the late service! We got the vibe everyone there was miserable some other waitress even cried while there! Then we get our appetizer that was great the nicks chips only thing I suggest was adding sour cream ...got my steak was super small mashed potatoes was dry but I figured ohh well we were last people I'm not gonna make a big deal then the pulled pork sandwich was amazing the chips were burnt that came with it and my boyfriends rice and chicken meal was so over cooked it was so hard and tough couldn't even bite into it and the rice tasted like some generic plain microwave rice! I took a bite of the chicken and I couldn't even eat so I know my boyfriend wasn't lying or over exaggerating...and he's one that will eat anything!!! So we kindly apologize to the waiter and ask if we could get the manager or a refund on the chicken and rice dinner! I personally watched her try and track down the manager 3x and then she walks right past us didn't once come up to talk to us and see what's going on and the waitress was being blamed for everything when it was not her fault at all she didn't do anything wrong! A waitress can not help how the food is made! Also we leave and go back in to find the manger ourselves because she only took 10 percent off which is absolute bullshit! Still continues to lie and blame the waitress and then continues to blame the waitress trying to say she never communicated anything to her or we didn't with her which really upset me because again my boyfriend and I made it very clear it was not the waitress fault and that everything else tasted good we only really had a problem with the chicken dinner! So then she snaps off and starts telling my boyfriend to lower is voice which he wasn't yelling or cursing nothing! So he just says I just wanna Personally let you know your a bad manger and it's very poor management!!! Thats how you lose customers just saying!!! Hope no one else experiences what we just experienced...

Went to nicks for lunch today and I ordered the filet, if you'd call it that. It resembled more of a salisbury steak with how over cooked it was and it swimming in gravy. The broccoli was cold and the mashed potatoes were inedible, so I wanted to get it replaced since I hadn't eaten all day. The waitress was very nice the entire time and said she'd go get the manager for me. Manager gets to the table and immediately has an attitude and is talking very loudly so other people could hear her, that the only way I can be refunded is if something was actually wrong with the meal or if there was a hair in it not just because I "decided to change my mind." That it cant be refunded anyway because "its a $30 steak." (The meal was $30 not the steak. I've had better steaks from walmart.) When i tried to explain the situation I was ignored and talked over, then she tells me she can box it up for me and when I tell her no I cannot eat this she just walks away. Then i see her over by the entrance discussing it with a handful of waitresses im assuming because a couple of them turned around to mean mug and laugh at me. The two men behind us even commented on how rude she was being. I tried to be polite about the situation because I hate sending food back but she made the experience there uncomfortable to say the least. The person I was with received great food and our appetizers were delicious my meal was the only negative and I just wanted it replaced with something I could eat. I worked in the restaurant industry for years and am still in management and her behavior was beyond unacceptable. She did not offer her name and no one had name tags but she was taller with brown hair. I only give service 2 stars because our waitress was nice. We will not be returning because of...

Unfortunately this is one of the worst overall dinning experiences me and my wife can recall. Not only did it take 1 hours and 50 mins and a wasted $60 to end this headache but it ended our trip to see Christmas lights, as we waited for our food so long we had to miss the park lights we drove up for.

I have never been the type to eat at a place and have a bad experience and decide to not go back, I like to try my luck at a second experience however I would not gamble and go here again.

We never got an explanation why our dinner for 3: burger, wings and kids pizza took 1 hour and 20 minutes to come out the waitress had asked us at an empty table 6 times how we were doing which we awkwardly replied fine. She said 3 times starting about at the 40 min make your foods coming out soon. No one ever apologize for the hour and 20 min wait.

The food was not good my wings that I ordered and were on the receipt as breaded were naked and looked like a mess and the "famous "sauce tasted like packet BBQ sauce. I threw up from food poisoning on the way home. I felt nauseous very shortly after leaving the restaurant making the money we spent to set and wait for 1 hour and 50 mins even feel even more wasted.

After being there for 1 hour and 35 mins we waited another 15 mins for our check we asked for while the food was on the table for the waitress to apologize she forgot, bringing us to 1 hour and 35 mins or more of waste. We got our completed order in well before the 15 min mark.
