Debbie’s Dairy Freeze — Restaurant in Yadkinville

Extremely disappointing experience! I have two sick relatives and can only be away briefly for fear of them needing me. My father ordered 5 corn dogs to go. I drove to town to pick them up. As I approached the take out window I said we had an order for 5 corn dogs. The young at the window gave an incorrect name and I gave her the correct name , and she said ok, and soon gave me the bag. After going all the way home, I opened the bag to realize she had given me the wrong order. I drove back to the restaurant to get the correct order and asked them to cover the 5 corn dog order for the inconvenience and extra gas expense driving back. The young lady at the window stated they had NO one, out of the 5-6 folks I saw inside, that could authorize a refund. Another lady came over to apologized, and I said thank you but I’d like my money back. The first young lady that helped, said she could call the owner Debbie. She got her on the phone and Debbie told her the order I returned . was $1.47 less than my order and they would just eat that. I said no, I’d like back the cost of the 5 corn dogs. I asked to speak to her and was handed the phone. I expressed to Debbie that I felt she should reimburse for the food and she stated ,”I think it should be on them”. I asked who is them? She said, “the person that gave you the food? “ I said, doesn’t she work for you? I explained that in my business I’m fully responsible for any mistakes I, or my employees make. I cannot believe that she was willing to lose any future business of myself, family, friends and anyone that chooses to do business with a restaurant that appreciates and wants to do right by their customers. I’m not one to usually leave negative reviews, but this place has it coming. Every single time we call in an order, mainly during the evening, it’s always something. I’ve had food be completely wrong, parts of orders missing, and don’t get me started even trying to get someone to answer the phone!

It seems the owner let’s nothing but teens run the show at this place during the evenings. They’re always rude, short and hateful. I’ve literally been there waiting on food and see multiple people goofing off while the phone rings off the hook.

Tonight was my final straw, we wanted ice cream and called up to place an order. Only for them to answer, say "we’re closed" and hang up. This was 8PM, Google says they close at 9PM on Saturday’s.

Prior to this, my daughter went to pickup up ice cream. She places her order, only to be told "we don’t have that flavor". They didn’t even have a sign out, stating what flavors they were serving. They had to go get the sign and allow her to take a picture to send to us. Only for the flavor they said was sold out, still be listed on the sign.

I mean at what point does someone step in and do better handling this place?? The teens running the show are a big issue, as they have no care for customers. Their breakfast crew is...

Me and my wife got food at here a few weeks ago, we ordered at the window, the girl who took our order was very unpleasant to say the least, it took almost 30 minutes to get our food, and when we finally got our food she didn't even apologize for our wait. Me and my wife are fair and decided to give them a second chance so we went here this evening. We got there at 8:35 pm and we realize that they close at 9:00 pm but we thought that was enough time to get some food but apparently not. We went inside sat down and the a waitress came to our table and once again we were greeted with unpleasantness. My wife ordered a burger but she said she'd have to see if the cook could still make it. The waitress came back and said they couldn't because it would take 40 minutes to make the burger. I worked in a restaurant for 3 years and it does not take 40 minutes to make a burger. This was obviously a blatant refusal to take our order because it was close to their closing time. If that's the case then close at 8:30 pm instead of 8:30 pm or put up a sign that says "No Orders taken after 9:00 pm". This place is ridiculous, it should be closed, fire the entire staff, hire a new staff, and start over with...
