Not a great experience, it was my daughterâs 20th birthday and we made reservations for 8 people at 6 pm on a Friday. We arrived early and went to the bar for a drink there was standing room only and was told they couldnât serve anyone standing up⊠We were seated shortly after 6 and the whole experience took about an hour and a half. The restaurant was very loud with silverware clanking as they put them in napkins (not a good experience for those with hearing aids) sat down ordered a 2nd drink. Ordered appetizers, received those rather promptly and were delicious (crab Rangoonâs, oysters in the half shell, calamari, bread (who knew they charged $5 for bread and they brought 2!) . Ordered a third beverage while waiting for dinner and was told a third could not be ordered until dinner was on the table (state law the waitress said and she could loose her job) so we waiting about 45 mins for dinner then said beverage arrived half way through. The three under 21 ordered $14 beverages and when those were gone there was no ask of refills or something else to drink, had to waive down our server to get a soda! Onto the food, my husband asked for mushrooms on his wagyu steak, they arrived in his wedge salad. He mentioned to the waitress those were to be on the steak so when the steak comes make sure there are mushrooms. No complaining he just picked them off and she was in agreement they should not have been in the salad (yet we were charged for them in the salad). We ordered two of the wagyu steaks ($65 each) one medium and one medium rare, both arrived medium rare but no complaints. I ordered the Hawaiian tuna which is to be seared and raw in the center, was over cooked and firm like canned tuna again no complaint made. Our birthday girl ordered fettuccine and added crab it was so salty she couldnât eat it ($40). She ended up eating half of her dads steak. The server didnât even ask how the meal was, again we are not ones to complain but the uneaten food should have been a concern for the server and prompted a question of why. We come to the end of the meal and it was my daughters birthday and the server asked if we wanted a free desert (scoop of ice cream) my daughter said no thank you (lactose issues). It was still brought however the table had not been cleared and so there was no place to put it for others at the table to share it. Between the 8 of us we ended up paying over $1,000 (20% gratuity automatically added). Not complaining of how much we paid however I have been to many fine dining places and I assumed with the the amount of money we paid we would have had much better quality of prepared food, better service, the atmosphere would have not been so loud we could hardly hear one another, and limiting beverages to an 80 year old man is ridiculous who was not drunk at all! Would not recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a quality...
Read moreThis place is so pretentious, dont bother. Overpriced, over thought preparation of dishes and absolutely the worst customer service in town!
Long story beware...we were seated near bar area and were ignored for a solid 10min before a gal with a water pitcher poured our glasses. Never said a word to us...even after we smiled and thanked her. Nothing. Our server was okay at first...just ok. Food was also okay but not worth the high prices. Then our check come and i notice our drink prices are more than double. And the dinner for 2 with 1 drink each was $98. I thought there was a mistake as the menu on our table and every table around us stated the drink prices...appetizers and dessert prices. I looked that menu over several times trying to see where i had mis read the price or maybe a special but nothing. So i put a $100 bill in with the check and when the server came to collect i asked if we maybe had been rang up for something different and pointed towards the menu and price. The answer was "that is the happy hour menu that ended an hour ago"... i asked where it stated that...and she looked and said "well it doesnt, i guess people just know". She said maybe they should put that on there and that they should think of removing the menus from all of the tables so it doesnt cause confusion. But then said they couldn't remove them because that was the app and dessert menu. And then just stared at us like were the stupid ones. No apology, no real explanation...no offer to correct or understand. So i asked if she could please correct the ticket as i would never order/pay that price for that drink had I known. She took the check and the $100 bill...probably thinking I wasn't going to tip...but I actually had additional cash in smaller Bill's so no need to add all of that as my check should be adjusted by $20. Then with her bad attitude she walked by and while doing so she tossed the black folder on our table and said "here you go I changed the price". The end. We left so upset as she completely ruined our celebratory evening. And I will never go back. In fact we had clients in from out of town and saw that place leaving the airport and were going to go there. I explained there were much better options for the group of 15 we had and took them someplace else. I will continue to do so & promote well deserving business in the valley. Water fire is not one of them
I still left a large tip ..why...who knows i guess I'm too nice. I regret it because she deserved less than nothing for the way she handled the simplest concern. If you are in a service industry please learn patience...
Read moreMy husband and I took my parents here for their 43rd wedding anniversary because we have told them how much we liked it. The restaurant atmosphere was the same Ole same ole. I asked if they still served the bread and butter before the meal, and our waitress informed us they did, but they charge .75 for it now. I agreed because I was trying to make it a great night for my parents, but I was charged $3 for one, and our waitress said well I guess that's the price haha. Our waitress was sparsely seen, our drinks never got refilled (including water) my dad ordered the salmon and it was fishy tasting and so overcooked he literally took one bite, my mom and I split a bite to taste it and we agreed it wasn't good. I ordered the parmesan crusted halibut, and it was raw in the middle, and I didn't know "fillets" came the size of my palm for $40 (it was tiny compared to what im use to from here. We were done with our meal by the time our waitress came back and my dad told her about the salmon (mind you, he didn't touch anything else on the plate. No asparagus, no risotto and not more than the two bites total of salmon) and they took his plate and told us because he didn't like it they took half of the cost of his dinner off the bill. I had to argue with a manager with pictures I took (I love to post our food usually) compared to when they took the plate that he didn't touch it and she was so rude and said she would take it off the bill THIS TIME but he ate over half of it so he should have to pay for half. I was furious at this point! I didn't even bother to show her my raw fish cause I knew that would be another argument that I wasn't going to have and ruin my parents' anniversary dinner further. My husband and I eat (ate, we don't have a desire to return anytime soon) at this restaurant once a month (at least) for the last several years and our bill is always over $100 and we couldn't believe the way we...
