My husband and I made a decision today to go down to Yarmouth it's about an hour away from us because I actually found out you are opening a new place in New Gloucester so wanted to see all of what brickyard hollow had to offer.
Let me start with the food was absolutely amazing we had the pulled pork pizza with the gouda mac and cheese and jalapeno cornbread and that's genius putting little bits of sweetness from the cornbread into the piZza. Seafood chowder was good different take on no chunks , still flavorful. My husband's son had chili and he was excited and loved it couldn't eat it all so it was a good sized portion. ( I liked the military bowl wink wink) My husband's Westside ale was a really good craft beer that we haven't tried I'm not a beer fan, I always try his beer , I'm a foodie and I need to stay up with the times, the fads, the locals! It was a juxtaposition looking super dark for a brown ale while being light and refreshing!
Really sad I had to give four stars I would have given five, everyone was nice enough somebody greeted us they also said goodbye! A goodbye is often missed these days! bartender was nice enough, I tried chatting with him a bit , he was polite and answered my questions or gave quick feedback to engage with me minimally. As a super passionate person that's been in the industry for over 20 years...number one rule as a bartender have a personality! Joke, banter, wit something with your customers. Hey I get it maybe he was having a bad day and I'm not judging until....we get to his lack of skills when it comes to pouring beer. To make sure you get the best pour the best quality beer there are certain ways to pour a beer and he did not care. He's wasting a lot of your beer pouring out half glasses of head....stating when I pointed it out that's it's just foam. Oh kid , no you're wasting beer because you don't know how to pour correctly. On top of that he snapped back and said "they own a brewery not my issue if their taps don't work right"
Maybe I'm missing something I just thought all beer draught was poured at a 45 degree angle... Maybe I'm mistaken. If I'm not though take a look at your beer cost for the past year when Mr. Been here a year guy is on! Super sad to see the waste and a probably disgruntled worker ...pssst it may be because he has had a broken dishwasher for a month. I get it , plumbers are booked and take forever to come out . Tell the poor guy so he can have a brighter...

Wow 😎😎😎😎
We popped in at 5:15pm, not to crowded! Stephanie, our server introduced herself, and handed us a menu. I asked about flights, ( selection of their beers to sample) and was surprised to hear no stouts, no porters, no brown ales yet. . . I guess they’re gearing up for fall / Halloween beers? Oh well, I did enjoy a couple of IPA’s, and Kolsch, and summer wheat !
My wife and I split a strawberry, feta, lettuce, cucumber salad with a tasty raspberry vinaigrette dressing! Then we shared the seafood chowder, in a creamy broth which was fine. On a previous visit we ordered the “1901”pretzels with beer cheese, excellent! For dinner my wife’s salmon with Cinnamon chipotle dusted cauliflower was surprising, yummy & different! She raved about it! I ordered the homemade Margherita pizza with sausage, tomatoes, basil reduction, and pepperoni . . . excellent! A wonderful meal, with good service, thank you Stephanie!
Suggestion: I hope the next time we pop in for a meal. . . the ENTIRE BEER family joins us ! ( stouts, porters, nut brown ales, reds, wheats, IPA’s, etc). 😀

Read moreDue to an error with the internet ordering I received my sandwich with pepper jack cheese. Due to server error the sides that were requested were not put into the bag. I called and the server who answered said that they would make another sandwhich and get the sides corrected. I waited over 30 minutes for it to be remade. While the wait is understandable, I find it completely unacceptable that I was told that I needed to pay for it. Once I got the sandwich, I went back to work to realize thay it was made wrong again. I called to ask for a credit in hopes that I could come in another day to receive the good service that I had received in the past. The server was extremely rude and blamed it on me even though I was very nice to her (the order was clearly written on the receipt) so again server error. She also said well it was already free (it wasn't it was a remake and besides i paid 60 dollars which included a 30% tip that I now regret) I asked to speak to the manager and she said she wasn't in and said she would call me back.... she never did. I'm very disappointed and sad to say that if they don't correct this that I won't be back.
Update: the situation has been rectified and was quickly addressed. With that said it is good to know that management is on top of any issues that may arise ... which is why I will still recommend this place and will go back...
