Been here many times. My complaint is the inconsistent amount of filling different people give. I would order 2 carne asada burritos and my daughter would order the exact same 2 carne asada burritos. Her 2 burritos usually would have more of everything. Side by side, they were about 20-25% bigger.
Last time, we went in to order burritos, I notice my server gave only 3 scoops of meat and her server gave 4 scoops of meat. I didn’t think that much of it, until I saw my husband throw out half his burrito saying that there was very little meat/flavor.
I figured that on the next visit I would ask for more meat, if I notice there is not enough for us. And offer to pay an additional amount, rather than have 1/2 a burrito thrown away.
Well, today we went in to get our 4 carne asada burritos. 2 with a little beans and the other 2 with grilled onions. All with a little rice. The server gave 3 scoops of meat on 3 of the burritos and 2 and 1/2 scoop on the 4th one. I asked the server if I could get a little more meat on them. He said “No”. I said that I just need one more scoop of meat on each and is there that option on the menu? He said, “There will be a $4 charge.” I said okay.
The server instead of putting on the additional scoop of meat was pushing the burrito trays to the female coworker. But I waved my arms saying, “Can I get the extra scoop of meat?” The lady look confused. The first server looked angry. The first server said it was going to cost $4. I asked “$4 each?” He said “$4 for a little extra in all 4.” I say “Okay” The original server put in a little bit of meat (not even a scoop) to each burrito. My daughter said the meat in hers was dry and burnt. So much for getting extra meat.
We got some corn salsa and cheese and cilantro on all 4 burritos. We asked for pico de gallo on the side and mild salsa on the side.
The cashier gentleman usually gives me 2 cups of mild salsa sauce on the side. Today, he was a bit cranky because he felt I was somehow making his coworker angry. He said, “I already am giving you mild salsa In the cups.” There was only 4 cups with pico de gallo but no salsa sauce.
My young daughter was embarrassed by the 3 workers giving us a hard time. She was outside the store.
When we got home, we noticed that 2 of the burritos had both beans and onions, 😧
Will definitely rethink...
Read moreHonestly, there's nothing I can say that is intrinsically wrong with Burrito Brothers. But, I can't really think of a reason to go here other than to try a local business with, all sincerity. The service was prompt, food is fresh, and you can tell a part of the pricing model is in direct tandem of the philosophy of a local business supporting local entities in operation and consumption but without the frill and fluff about making things too "new" to the average person. You're getting what you pay for in that regard.
However, I actually wouldn't reccomend their Supreme Burrito. I felt the price point to value definitely doesn't compete with even smaller businesses and does a disservice to what might be a really great place. But I cannot deny that the burritos are indeed big. Just not $20 in value, for that particular item. Maybe it was for the meat quality, but it gets lost in the other ingredients. The funny thing is, that's the first thing you read on the menu despite this place selling (basically) quesaritos and Cali burritos, which you'd think would be more embellished on the menu considering virtually no one else is doing that unless you put a special request for it.
Again, staff are great, the place clearly gets action upon opening each day, the quality is good... but I'd firmly suggest newcomers to actually look deeper into the menu and look at the...
Read morePlaced an order of one burrito and the employee repeated back my order. He asked if I wanted anything else and said to give them 4-minutes as they were finishing cleaning. I waited at the table inside the place. About 1-minute after, other customers came in and the employees started doing their orders instead of mine. The guy that took my order started doing someone’s else burrito along with other customers. They acknowledge that I was still there as I tried making eye contact, but they didn’t once communicate when my burrito would be made. Extremely frustrating, I wondered why they were serving other customers if I came in first and told them my order. I was expecting an “okay we are ready for you now” but instead got completely disregarded. I left without a word and went to the shaved ice place next door as they have better customer service anyways lol. I would still come back here as I enjoy their burritos, hopefully this doesn’t...
