First Wok — Restaurant in York Township

The food at First Wok is always flavorful and freshly made. Portions are generous, and everything is served hot and on time. The fried rice and orange chicken were excellent — definitely a go-to spot for tasty Chinese takeout. The staff was generally polite and efficient.

One small area for improvement: I asked for one extra soft tortilla with my order, but the request was declined. I was told they could only provide soft tortillas in sets of 3 or 4, with no option for just one or an alternative solution. While I understand if that’s their policy, a bit more flexibility with small requests like this could really improve the customer experience.

Overall, I’d still recommend First Wok for the food, but I hope they consider being more accommodating...

It appears that the restaurant has changed hands yet again. This time, not only did the food quality go down, but the service was terrible. I asked for an extra bag of "chips" and the famous, delicious homemade duck sauce with my order, and I was told, rudely, that I already got "two free bags," and that they were now 50 cents a piece. Well, there were, literally, only three chips in each bag. Three chips. It was the tiny egg roll bags. And then she abruptly walked away from me. The inside of the restaurant is now cluttered with tons of random objects, and various things for sale, like packs of magic markers and such with price tags. Definitely not the old First Wok that our family has loved for...

The wife and I were looking for a new Chinese place since our regular one went so far downhill.

We found First Wok and decided to try them. Allow me to save you the trouble - the folks giving this place good marks don't know good food.

My egg foo young was burned. Keep in mind it's scrambled eggs as you look at the picture. I ended up scraping off the top and throwing away the bottom half of it.

My wife asked for extra sauce for her dish. Guess what she didn't get.

We're STILL looking for a good Chinese place - This wasn't it.

The people were nice the place clean and attractive, the food left a lot to be desired.
