Check in was pleasant enough, until I had to change rooms 3 times (and should've changed again). The 1st room had a large unfinished, plastered hole in the wall. The 2nd room had a broken entry light and a malfunctioning A/C. The 3rd room was an "upgrade for my troubles" suite that was the same size as the previous rooms, but had full-sized beds so they could shove a sofa in an call it a suite. In the "suite" I was "upgraded" to, the beds had been made up, but the room hadn't been cleaned. I'd had enough after a long day and decided to take it up with staff in the morning.||||To call the room I was in a suite was an absurd joke. Not only is it the same size as the regular rooms, but it is actually more cramped b/c they jam in more things to call it a suite and to charge more. The bathroom is so small that the door blocks 1/2 of the tub and the toilet blocks 1/3. You literally have to go sideways between these obstacles to move between the tub/shower and the sink. The water pressure was poor. The "desk" area is a 1-foot wide shelf that sits inches below a TV that doesn't work for its intended purpose. They say it's for streaming, but there are no mainstream services on it save for 4 Google apps. Those don't function b/c the TV isn't correctly connected to a network. AND the only way cast to the TV is by linking to it as your wifi source, which means anything you stream has to be predownloaded onto your computer. The other TV in my supposed suite was 4-feet away from the 1st TV on the same wall and both turned on or off when using a singular remote.||||One of the most glaring issues? The housekeeping. My room was never fully cleaned during my 5-day visit. I asked repetitively for a thorough cleaning as I was given a dirty room and the closest I got was on day 3 when they finally swiped someone else's pubes from my toilet. Even then there was still debris on the floor and multiple surfaces where you could wipe away brown dust with your finger. They also don't change the bed linens until you ask. I asked and my bed linens weren't changed. They simply made the bed as if I wouldn't notice the same, wrinkled up sheets on the bed. Or the same pillowcases. Some days I didn't get the same number of towels. Or the appropriate amount of bodywash/shampoo/lotion. Or a bath mat. Etc, etc, etc. AND there's always a tip envelope for the cleaning staff in your room as if they're doing even a passably good job.||||The exercise room? LOL. There was a dust bunny the size of a rat in there. Dirt and debris everywhere. Misaligned, rusting equipment. Buckling paint. Hardwater stained flooring. Uncontrolled cords. Padded stretching mats that were so dirty that when I wet-wiped them 3 times? They blackened the wipes every time. And then browned the towel I used to dry it off after the 3rd wet wiping.||||One day one of the two elevators wasn't working. There's an unpleasant, lingering smell in the elevators, hallways, and rooms. You can readily hear noise from other rooms.||||I will say that the breakfast is a nice perk, with some tasty options. The staff is also nice enough, but that doesn't go too far when the smiles and kindness don't get things done (such as giving me a clean, fully-functioning, usable room; or getting housekeeping to fully clean my room; etc).||||There are many other things that were off--like the stained desk chair in my room; the crooked lamp; the uncontrolled cords hanging from the lamp, the A/C, and the desk areas in my room; the crumbs and staining on the sofa; the misaligned platform beds that can easily gash your legs; the coffee/water stains and dirty surfaces in the elevators; the uncleaned mini-fridge; the 3-foot counter that they call a kitchenette in my non-suite suite; the dirty grout in the bathroom and entry; the paint splatters and streaks on the floor and in the crevices of the same; etc, etc. etc.||||The location is "meh," but I knew that in advance. I chose to stay here because it's one of the highest rated hotels in the York area. From my perspective based on the above? Most of these reviews...

Beautiful hotel! Stay was perfect! Where do I begin? The staff go above and beyond for your comfort and offer the utmost in service. Everyone I encountered was so nice and friendly. I was welcomed with a warm towel, wait…what?!? It was pre wrapped and fragranced with lemon essential oils. Wow!
Breakfast was presented very well and delish! Lots of options. I very much enjoyed the coffee machine with so many options (cappuccino and espresso), they even have a pancake machine (it was so fun to watch my pancakes being made), waffles and French toast!
The decor is surely thought out with focus and theme on the local Heritage Rail. Guest room was clean, working amenities, Keurig coffee machines, large TV’s (I had a suite and there were 2!). USB plugs galore (no worrying about plug ins). The bathroom was large, the lighting was ample and the shower was great with a hand held sprayer and body sprays! They have a designated yoga/wellness room!! No more yoga in the fitness center or guest room! Love this!
If you’re staying fit you’ll have no issues finding space and the right machine in the very large commercial type fitness center, I’ve never seen one so ample at a hotel and I travel a lot! I visited for business and would not blink an eye to book this hotel again when in the area. Great location and close to 83. Highly recommend.
They’re adding a lobby bar with dining! Can’t wait to visit again to enjoy a cocktail in this beautiful hotel! This hotel is a must stay!
I should also add I’m allergic to dogs :/. So I asked to make sure I wasn’t in a pet room, they have designated rooms for pets! So you’ll never have to worry about this as long as you...
