Nicky's Pizzeria — Restaurant in Youngstown

I visited Niki Pizzeria in Lexington hoping for the same great experience I had at their Five Points location. Unfortunately, this visit was a major disappointment. I ordered an Italian combo with no lettuce or tomato. My son ordered a ham, provolone, and bacon sub, and I also ordered another of the same sub to go.

When the food came out, I bit into my sub and realized it was actually the to-go order, not the one meant for dine-in. I notified our server, and a manager came over, but neither of them could seem to figure out what I had ordered—even though I explained it clearly. During this back-and-forth, I saw the manager standing behind me making a face as if I were crazy—rolling their eyes and giving a look that could only be described as “go to hell.” It was insulting and completely unprofessional.

Eventually, they brought out my corrected order—except it was still wrong. The sandwich had both lettuce and tomato, despite my clear request to leave those off. On top of that, they only brought half of the ham, provolone, and bacon sub. I waited another ten minutes before the correct version finally arrived.

Given the poor service, unprofessional attitude from management, and the small portions for the price, I won’t be returning. This was a frustrating and disappointing experience from...

We have ordered 4 times from this place. This first time was awesome. But after that all we got were raw pizza and messed up orders. This second time we ordered pizza it came cold, dough was raw inside the pizza. My fiance ended up getting sick and in the hospital because she's pregnant and we told them to make sure it's done. So we called back 3 or 4 days after ordering then she got out, we told them and they had absolutely NO empathy did not care what so ever. Said she probably got sick because shess pregnant and basically BLAMED MY FIANCE for eating THEIR FOOD. Well her mother came to visit and she was trying to be nice and ordered from Nicky's well, surprise surprise it showed up with wrong toppings, my fiance is allergic to sausage so her mother made sure to only get it on half, and none touch well it was not only RAW and the whole thing had sausage so not only could she not eat, no one could eat because it was raw. Well we called the next day, well the guy who answered gave her mother ALOT of attitude, was very ignorant rude and just a jerk. The owner said oh well he can't be there 24/7. We asked to do half white half red sauce, he was extremely RUDE a d said "WE DON'T DO THAT HERE!!" SADLY they are the ONLY one's that...

I have to say, Nicky's looms large in my nostalgia files. I remember it from its Cornersburg Pizza days, and going there as a high schooler when it was Nicky's Cornersburg. Going yesterday was like, "let's do the time warp again", but not quite, if that makes sense. I ordered spicy garlic wings & jojo's or whatever the potato wedges are called. I got Buffalo wings, which were very tasty, and the jojo's (or whatever) were good too. But...and this isn't about getting the wrong wings) I didn't have the courage to try the pizza. Belleria pizza disappoints 9 out of 10 locations. Very few places remain as good as they were 30+ years ago. Nicky made a GREAT pizza. If I order and it's not what it used to be, it's one more heartbreak. But next time, I will try. Because my rating is unfair until I know what the main product is like.
