Update: Went from five stars to two after several very positive visits in the last 24 months, but tonight, i ordered a "filet" that was definitely not filet mignon. It was ordered rare, but it was chewy from the first bite. There is never silver skin or connective tissue within the tenderloin, nor are there large deposits of fatty tissue, but this steak had both. There was very little seasoning, which i perefer, but that left the tell-tale flavor evidence that this wasn't a filet mignon. Maybe the MGMT got defrauded by a supplier, but it wasn't a $32.95 steak to me. My girl really did enjoy her steak salad, and I liked the onion rings, but I left about a third of the steak on the plate. Wish I wouldn't have had the fake-steak distraction on our first anniversary dinner.
Original review from 12/29/20: My girl and I went to Tin Lizzy the other night primarily because it was just about the only restaurant open for dine-in without a parka, and I am so happy we did. The overall experience was excellent. The ambiance and the food were amazing. The service was good, but our server seemed like she was having a rough night. I get that. When you're the only game in town, your servers might get a little stressed.
The owners of the Tin Lizzy are freedom fighters, and I respect them for making a stand for the financial good of their employees, their families and the business itself. They run the same COVID protocols as I am used to dining out all the time in Georgia, and I never an issue with their operation. As a person who assumes my own personal security and responsibility to safeguard my own health and the health of my family over the dictates of the government, being able to dine out in...

My fiance and I went here for the first time tonight. I was so excited to try something new after looking at the menu online, which has way more on it than they actual offer dine in. I got the fish, he got the burger and an order of pretzles. Total came to almost 50 bucks. That's insane.
But besides that, the taste of the food. The pretzles were good. But I think they were frozen ones. The beer cheese tasted just like nacho cheese. The fish was God awful. It tasted like it was in a pancake batter and burnt to a crisp, and had a strong bad fish taste, not to mention the bread it was on. I took the bread and smacked it good against the plate a few times and it didnt even chip or bend the bread. The coleslaw. I have never in my life tasted something so fowl. I don't even have words to describe it. It almost tasted fermented and like someone juiced 30 lemons for that one bite. About 15 minutes after eating my meal, i physically got ill and had to take pepto bismul. His burger was super dry, lacked flavor. The bacon was very dark and burnt. The bread was just as hard as mine. The fish nor the burger were not even close to being worth $16 a peice.
The waitress was so nice and very good at her job. We just didn't have the heart to tell her how bad the food really was.
I had super high hopes for this place, but we will definitely...
Read moreBright spot of our first visit to Tin Lizzy was our server, Patrick. He was super friendly and efficient. Definitely a breath of fresh air compared to the service (or lack thereof) we'd received at another establishment earlier that evening, prompting us to leave and try Tin Lizzy.
Aside from the great service Patrick provided, our food that evening was a miss. Quantity wasn't an issue. They definitely make some big sandwiches. It was quality and attention to detail that were issues. Two of our sandwiches came with charred, and I mean charred black rolls and the Italian came with meat that didn't have the cellulose casing removed before they sliced the meat. So every bite came with a strand of cellulose casing which was pretty off-putting.
Patrick did make it right, removing the charred sandwich that contained the strands of casing from our bill. Only wish he'd have noticed the charred bread and brought them to the kitchen's attention before bringing them out. It was glaringly obvious that the sandwiches were not fit to be served.
We'd probably try this place again. Hate to judge a joint on one try only but our first visit was what it was, which wasn't great other than the service...
