Ye's Cafe — Restaurant in Youngsville

I had passed Ye's Cafe many times and was just so disappointed with most of the Chinese food I have tried in the area. Well tonight we decided to give this place a try since it is the closest to where we live. After we ordered there were so many people in and out of there, I figured it is either really good here, or people just don't want to drive farther. Well I give them a 12 out of 10. General Tso chicken was perfect, shrimp fried rice was wonderful and not too dry or flavorless, and the fried cheese won tons and shrimp eggrolls were exactly what I've been looking for. Good place to go, the only reason that it does not get 5 stars is because sometimes there is not enough room to sit down without being crowded. The food is real fresh and it is always cooked to order and it can be relied upton to be fast. They don't use any MSG. There are a good variety of sauces and ingridients, it can be made mild or spicy. The staff is courteous and are all from southeast asia. The portions are generous. If you work around Youngsville you should eat there for lunch often. The prices are great, for about the same...

I gotta say, it is always a gamble with small, take-out Chinese places.... but Ye's cafe makes some good food! I have been probably 5 times times in the past 6 weeks! My only issue has been, I can't quite consistently order "correctly". That is completely my fault though for not looking at their menu while ordering. They have been very friendly every time I have been. Food is typically ready in about 10 minutes. And a nice large portion for a very good price. This is close to my work, and will continue to be a spot I visit once...
