Pineapple Hawaiian BBQ — Restaurant in Yuba City

The food here is great, the servers are accommodating and kind. the plates are priced SOOO well, especially when we consider what we get elsewhere for the same... The new owners have made huge improvements to the atmosphere, and the environment of the instore dining. I'm not sure if anyone really went to the restaurant before they moved in.. but it was... not ideal. Now the restaurant is visibly clean, the bathrooms are clean, the tables are clean, and they actually have heating and air.

My favorite dish here is the BBQ chicken plate, but I also love the chicken Katsu. I come here at least 1-3 times a week, whether its a full plate, a mini meal or a mixed plate.

I also use Pineapple for catering for an event I had at work. I was a regular, but they offered me some great deals and we were able to come in well under budget, for a great amount of food, which was a huge hit at my workplace... I plan to come back all the time.

I told my friend about it, who has a family of 9, of which most are boys/men, who when they go out, have to cash out their savings... about this place.... She said that for 2 of pineapples family dinners, she was able to serve her whole family, for about 10-11 bucks a piece.. with LEFTOVERS which is super unheard...

Food I will start with their food. Very good food. We ordered the Katsu plate and the teriyaki chicken. Chicken was very tender. No complaints there.

Service Not good at all. When we arrived, we were told the wait on our food would be 30 minutes. 30 minutes! Granted they had one cook working and the young lady at counter was taking orders in person and on the phone. We agreed because we really wanted to try this place.

I would not come here again unless I ordered my food today to pick up tomorrow.

They really need to improve their food prep times and get more help.

Ambiance I understand that this place just opened, but they were a bit unorganized, with random items everywhere. The place looked unkept and quite honestly dirty. The windows were filthy. They can use the help of a good window cleaning service. Remove the puzzles they have there. Just is not an inviting atmosphere.

This establishment has potential. I think they should have waited to open in order to have be sufficiently staffed and give the location a thorough cleaning.

we went in to order take-out. We ordered the pork lumpia, the teriyaki chicken place with rice and salad, and the Chicken Katsu BBQ (chicken & beef) plate with rice and mac salad. Food came out piping hot and quickly despite how busy they were with to-go orders. Service was friendly, quick, and helpful. While waiting for our food we observed the employee tell a customer to just call the store directly when he wants to place a to-go order instead of using door-dash, because door-dash charges the customer and extra 30%. I thought it was cool that she went out of her way to help save a stranger some $$. I've eaten here and at Nalu Hawaiian and I feel like here (Pineapple Hawaiian BBQ) is...
