Whiskey Road Saloon — Restaurant in Yuma

After reading some of these reviews, my husband and I decided to check this place out. I hadn't noticed that there hasn't been a good review since 2016. The place wasn't crowded but the people that were there apparently knew each other which to me said they were regulars. Apparently only regular customers get served. We sat at our table right by a sign that said to make sure to tip the bartender and waited 20 minutes. The bartender never acknowledged us and served a table right next to ours. My husband wanted to go to the bar to order us a drink but I kept thinking, if I'm supposed to tip this bartender, isn't she supposed to do something first? I opted to sit and observe and then leave. There must have been something really good going on a couple of years ago and I'm sorry I missed it, whatever that was is gone. My best friend and I have been friends for around 10 years and never had an opportunity to go to a bar together. January 1st was the day I moved out of our hometown in California and across the country to Orono, Maine for a change in pace. He joined me on Day 1 of my roadtrip and we stopped in Yuma....realizing that it's our last day we'll be able to do anything fun together and get absolutely poopfaced in the hotel room, but before that could begin, we decided to stop in to a bar near our hotel, and we had our first drink in a bar together. It was a very memorable experience, the bartender who served us was great, it was just a quick drink and back on the road but it is a really nice little spot. This has to be one of the best run, and fun bars in the South West.

The Staff are quick, competent, and professional. They know what the customer’s want and their personalities are exactly what the locals desire, hence this is why everyone sits at the bar for the interactions. Jenn and Christy are pro’s and know how to keep the place entertained with their bubbly personalities.

Nice mix or locals and Snowbirds. Prices are good, and the pours are solid.

They update the FB page frequently, and offer a good mix of entertainment with karaoke, line dancing etc.

Lots of TV’s for sports watching, and the pig they provided yesterday for Super Bowl was out of this world. Hats off to Whiskey Road.. this is how to run bar. Other establishments could take a lesson from these folks on doing it...
