Picnic Pizza Italian Eatery — Restaurant in Zanesville

My son and I usually just get a slice of pizza at the mall from here. We are actually going to go here today for lunch for the first time. We are plain Jane's. We just get thin crust cheese pizza (my son only likes cheese on his pizza). But, let me tell you, my son doesn't just eat pizza from anywhere. He is VERY picky. So with that being said, it is a good sign that he LOVES this pizza. He eats the crust and all and says how good it is. I haven't tried anything else from here, but the pizza is definitely delicious. It has a unique flavor compared to other pizza places and I like how big the slices are. I could eat one, maybe 2 slices, and I'm full. Whenever we order at the mall everyone is very friendly.

We went in there for lunch, and I can agree with the other review saying that it smelled like gas inside. It hit me as soon as I walked in. Perhaps they can't smell it though or are used to it. Regardless, they're really nice people that...

Once again disappointed with delivery. Normally get calzone on paper plate, which by time I get is soggy and unusable, this time I asked for pizza box making sure it would be delivered with some dignity as I had out of state company and didn't want to be embarrassed. Sure enough it came in a pizza box, of course mushrooms in my husband's calzone weren't there and ham was missing from mine, so I was left with spinach calzone. When I called to complain, I wad told, "oh, I didn't hear you say ham." Funny thing ham was written on order form, and I told her about lie. Plus meatball calzones that my husband and daughter had gotten had a funny taste to them, nothing like the one my husband had previously eaten. So do yourself a favor go in to eat they have great food in restaurant, just don't get delivery and be utterly embarrassed. Don't know if I am ever going back. Have given them to many chances to improve delivery service, and each time...

My husband and I were looking for a different eatery and google directed us to Picnic Pizza Italian Eatery. We were uncertain what we were getting into, but WOW! A huge diamond in the rough! The chef salad was FRESH and very good. The thin pizza was AMAZING!! The crust was awesome and allowed all the flavors of the Italian sausage, pepperoni and mushrooms to come through with the deliciously melted cheese! Our waitress was nice and prompt and made good suggestions. I'm sorry I don't recall her name. We also had the pleasure of meeting the owner, who is from Italy, who was very gracious. It just sealed the deal that this place is the BEST PLACE TO GO FOR ITALIAN CUISINE!! We will continue to make the drive from Canal Winchester to Zanesville for food (especially pizza) gladly!! ...
