McDonald's — Restaurant in Zeeland Charter Township

When I pulled into their parking lot, the line for drive through was super long, and it was around 4pm, so I decided it'd be quicker to go inside and get my order to go. I placed it and paid for it on their new kiosk machine...which I hate doing. Just 1 more way to create anti social behavior in our already text not talk world; when I'd finished I stood and waited, and waited, and waited! They were busy doing orders, but not their counter orders. I finally said something after almost 15 minutes had gone by, and that's what reason I was told...their drive through was very busy, to which I replied, I knew that, that's why I came inside; your guests that actually get out of their vehicles and come inside should always take priority in my opinion. If you don't want inside guests, lock your doors and change your name to Hot and Now! If you're looking for fast food, go across the street to Burger King, they had absolutely not 1 customer...which is their fault, their quality of food is right up there with Domino's and y'all know how gross that food use to be. They get a big fat negative from me today. Their fries even though they were fresh outta the fried were gross..greasy, and more greasy. The plain old burgers were the same...turning into sliders. Guess I'll stick to Wendy's, they aren't to bad, when they have their baked potatoes for sale..key word when...they are usually out or 30 minutes till done. This used to be our favorite McDonald's, but something changed late spring/early summer 2025. There was a really friendly group of seasoned employees, even the younger ones seemed to follow suit. They were fantastic, food was always quick, delicious and we maybe had one mistake in nearly 2 years!

Like I said something changed. In the last few months we've had countless mistakes, weird ones too. Sometimes it's a simple thing like missing a topping on a burger, or we've received half our order and half of someone else's. Once we got a coke that tasted like chemicals it was terrible. It had ice and my wife's did not and her's tasted normal. Not sure what happened to the ice, but that was definitely alarming.

There are still a few good people I recognize working there, like the sweet lady with all the pins in her hat, typically at the cashier station. She's so nice and friendly! I wish I could remember her name. Most of the others I knew from years past are gone now. It happens, but unfortunate. Hopefully they can get some of that level of service back...

Avoid this place at all cost. The employee who took our order spoke so quickly that their words mashed together creating a completely different language. I knew we were in trouble when they asked if I said coffee when The word I actually said was "original". They didn't read my order back to me. So when I went to pay I had the person tell me what I ordered. They did mess up my order and needed a manager to fix it. They couldn't print a receipt. I pull up to the pick up window and am told there was a 4 minute wait on our spicy chicken. They asked me to park in the courrier parking spot. We waited longer than 5 minutes and several cars made their way through the drive thru line. We get home with the majority of our food cold. I open up my original chicken to be completely disappointed. It was just a dry bun, chicken patty, two dried out pickles, and a dried up piece of Shredded cheese on one of the pickles. It looked like they dropped either the chicken patty or pickles on the floor and still decided to slap it on the bun. We will...
