Oh My it’s Been a Long Time but This is one Wonderful Cuban 😊#cubansandwichreviewguys

We have tried this place a few times. First visit wasn't bad, sandwiches were pretty good. The second time, my husband's roast beef was horrible! It smelled and tasted funny so we had to throw it out as soon as we got home. We decided to give it a third shot. Boy I wish we hadn't! Yes, their prices have gone up like every where else, but the quality has plummeted. 1st, ordered fries, the serving boat they came in was barely half full. I would have gotten more fries at McDs even if I ordered a small. 2nd, I always get my daughter a cheese sandwich. Normally if the manager is there, she only charges me the same price as a grilled cheese as it's literally just bread, cheese and mayo (not toasted). The girl checking me out today charged me just as much for that as my steak sandwich! That's crazy! Speaking of steak, it was bad. I could barely eat half of it and that was only because I was hungry. Taste was way off! The bread was fresh, so I'll give them that, but that's about it. Steak and whatever they tried to season the meat with was somewhat off-putting. Another thing is yes, if you are a local (or white) you do get treated differently depending on who's taking your order or checking you out. It's a weird vibe for sure when you walk into a place and can tell they will serve you, but don't genuinely care to. The manager is usually way more welcoming then her staff. My best advice is to try it at your own risk if you want as a last resort, but I'd skip this place. We will never order from here again. You will get a better sub for the $ at Publix or Wawa. And if you want an exceptional, authentic cheesesteak (or chicken) try Nico's in Zephyrhills. They make amazing food from scratch! Plus when you walk in, the family that runs it makes you feel welcomed.

I've driven by The Sandwich Spot literally countless times, regretfully I never went in until today. When I say I had the best sandwich that I had in YEARS it is no exaggeration. It was very clean; the staff could not have been any friendlier; and the food was FANTASTIC. So good infact that I walked out shocked that I'd never heard anyone talk about this little gem before. Our sandwiches were busting at the seams there was so much meat in them. And unlike other places around when they say a 12 inch sandwich that's what you're getting; half a sandwich (on cuban bread) and a side are more than enough for all but the hardiest of eaters. And, speaking of sides the ones we had were also unbelievably good and very reasonably priced. They have daily specials and make a variety different soups from scratch. Infact everything in the shop is made in house, sides, soups, desserts... yum, yum, and yum. Worth noting, they DO delivery for a $5 fee and they also do catering and party platters. They are less expensive than the " New York Style Deli " down the road by Big Lots with much bigger sandwiches and based on what I experienced today better than Publix subs by a long shot. Do yourself a favor and give them a try.

I live 2.3 miles from this establishment attempted to make a delivery order and was told it would be a 5 dollar delivery fee even though thier menu clearly says free delivery local area. Acted as though I was an inconvenience for calling. Dissapointing EDIT: just spoke with the GM and after checking HER maps I was perfectly within range for delivery this stores unwritten policy is free delivery UNDER 2.5 miles (thier pdf menu only says free delivery local) I live 2.3 miles. Was told they were just doing thier job can't help it if everyone's GPS is different. Not dissapointing... APPALING coming from the gm herself. EDIT: as I cannot now respond to the owner I'll just say that I don't "have an issue" with your delivery distances as stated those distances arent known to the public as you stated you haven't gotten that info out yet and as I stated that's now three seperate distances I've heard from your business today. your drivers use thier own gas? I sincerely hope thier pay reflects that expense and maybe you're food is amazing I don't know because just ordering from you has been an exercise in why a business needs a set way to determine location and not be dependant on whoevers phone is handy at the time. My review stands. Please update your menu and hopefully review how your delivery system is managed. Thank you for...
