Rossi's — Restaurant in Efate

My sister in-law and I just walked in to this restaurant to have a late lunch (around 4pm) after a day of shopping. First we were told we couldn’t eat outside because the tables were booked for dinner, ok no probs.

While we were seated being ignored by all staff one of the toilets over flowed into the restaurant, all staff scramble to try and clean it up including the chef. The chef mopped the toilet water and then proceeded to wring it out with her HANDS into a bucket!! Another staff member came over to take over and the chef went straight back into the kitchen and continued to prepare food. Assuming she was about to prepare our meal and tonight’s New Year’s Eve prep we asked to speak to the manager to tell him that she didn’t wash her hands. He waved the waiter away because he didn’t want to talk to us.

So I guess everyone who has booked in tonight for New Years will be getting a little more then they’ve paid for and maybe starting the new year with a nice little parasite or two. Hope you’ve all had you Hepatitis...

Came here for a light meal and to watch the sunset on those ever humid nights. This is a large restaurant that can hold a lot of people. There is a nice playground outside for the little ones. Located right on the water, a cold beer certainly helps pass the time. Lunch special offers a free juice. The food was pretty good and portion size not bad. Staff were lovely and very helpful. Great food and friendly service. We had dinner there one day and lunch another day. The staff were very friendly and the prices were good considering the very good quality of the food. The coconut crab is an adventure to eat and their steaks are cooked just right. The kids meal choice, plus a small playground is enough to keep the little ones happy too. The location is excellent, right on the water with good views across the harbour to Iririki Island...
